This week, but it usually isnt this yummy.
Red romaine, green leaf, dandelion, parsley, carrot top, mint, dill, watercress. And he has a bit of a romaine head in the back there.

I just couldn’t resist…
LOL! But with a salad bar, would they selective feed? You might have to mix it up a bit –

Here’s another Bunny Salad – see the bunny?
…but I do like the Salad Bar idea…![]()

mmm…that Chilli guy near the pool table is Hot! …
…![]()
(RabbitPam, I blame you for this tangent!!! )
Sorry Bunnycutie, back on track now.
These days my salads normally consist of 1 brussel sprout quartered, 3-4 leaves of romaine, carrot tops and curly endive.
This is only pic I have but this salad was likely: red leaf lettuce, curly endive, parsley and romaine.

Here’s Pepe relaxing with his salad.
My salads normally consist of cilantro or curly parsley, romaine or green leaf lettuce, and various herbs including basil, mint, and dill. Usually toss in some carrots every other day. It’s fairly basic because I have 9 rabbits and I can buy cheaply in bulk at a place called Restaurant Depot and they don’t have anything too fancy – they do have arugula though and I sometimes buy that on occassion – they do have great herbs though so I’m able to get the basil, mint and dill weekly which my rabbits devour.
jerseygirl- those pics are so funny, btw the chili guy by the pool table is hot! LOL just kidding

Quite often it’s just a handful of whatever is on sale at the market this week – usually romaine/gree/red lettuce plus somethign like cilantro/parsely/spinace and the occasional other veggie.
But now that it’s summer my deck garden has begun producing – and since Pepper helped fertilize them

this one had green lettuce, some mixed “salad” greens, mint, dill, carrot tops, lemon thyme and spinach. I just go out on the deck with a pair of scissors and snip her some yummies!
Oh goodness Rabbit Pam – I almost did a coffee spit-take! ![]()
I always give my buns either cilantro or parsley, 2 crunchy veggies & lettuce.
Crunchies might be: bell pepper, brussel sprouts, snow peas, turnips, boc choy, carrot, broccoli.
For lettuce, I normally get the 1 pound container of Spring Mix greens – yum – it lasts me & the buns about 1 week.

awww sage cat! your buns are cute! whats the dutch’s name?
OK RabbitPam and JerseyGirl, you two are hilarious!!!!! I just got home from the grocery store and cleaned all my bunny greens for the week – my counter did ressemble a salad bar!!! I’m very fortunate to have an awesome produce section, as well as buns who are willing to eat amything green and leafy!!!!! And Sarita, did you post your pics before??? I recall comment on the odd looking crouton in your salad!!!!!!!!!
I love Pepe immersed in his salad.
Wendyzski – your home grown salad is beautiful. What a lucky bun.
My little Dutch Boy is Winston – He is a total goof-ball! My Hotot is Kay. She is my little lady.
Bunnycutie – love you avatar!
LOL jersey – UNCLE! I give up!
I love the pix of Pepe. Sarita, does he eat all that at once? Is that a day’s serving? I was beginning to think I was giving Sammy too much salad, but seeing that I think she might need more.
I took a really cute pix of her eating from her cuddle cup yesterday, but it’s with my phone and I don’t know how to get it off of it. I am pretty sure I canceled the phone DL part of my package, since my bills were getting too high.
On second thought, Jersey, you asked for it!

(Please forgive me, bunnycutie, for momentarily hijacking your post.)
omg love it those salads lol
Tehe! And she would try too! I don’t normally freak when I see Jers in a flop but I did just now – eek!
RabbitPam, I blamed you but also cheer you on – gotta have some goof now and then. ![]()
rabbitpam- thats fine. LOL> love the pic of the bun at the salad bar. that would soooooo be buttons!
jerseygirl- winston…cute name. kay is very pretty. someday I would like to buy a hotot. I have a weakness for pure white bunnies ![]()
Just to clarify Bunnycutie, Winston the dutch and Kay the hotot are Sage Cats bunnies. My own are Jersey and Rumball and that’d be Jersey flopped out on the salad bar thanks to RabbitPam. lol
jerseygirl-errrr, oops? sometimes I wonder where my brain has gone… ![]()
maybe to hawaii! super fun! LOL.
I think Winston is a great name too, and it fits him.
Actually Hotos are not pure white. They have black ears, dark eyes & black eyeliner – little goth buns. ![]()
Kay is a mix – she has gray accents instead of black. She also has a super cute gray spot on the top or her tail and a little one just in front of her ears!
Here is a photo of her where you can see the gray on her ears:

She also likes to throw toys in her water bowl. ![]()
“Hi, I’m Kay. I like rainy days, long walks on the beach, and throwing my toys into my water bowl.”
Sorry Sage. It’s been a long day and I’ve lost it. You just cracked me up with that.
oh. i knew hotots had black eyeliner. but black ears too? how cute!
Rabbit Pam – you cracked me up right back!
Sometimes it takes her 2 or 3 tries to get the toys into the bowl 🙂
