Hi! I have a really important question that I can’t seem to find a straight answer to no matter how much researching I do!
My mini rex rabbit has pinworms(it looked identical the pics I found on internet, and it was not flat, so I doubt its tapeworm), and I am wondering is it really species specific? Some sites say they are, some say they aren’t, some say dogs can’t get pinworms at all(I have 4 dogs in the house), others say they can, some say humans can only get pinworms from other humans, others say you can get them from pets. Even vet sites had differing opinions! Please help! I am afraid to let him out of his cage becuase I don’t want him to spread the eggs for the rest of my pets to get, or worse, my family. What are the real facts? He seems completely normal. And I wouldn’t have known anything was wrong if I hadn’t seen the worm on a poo pellet when I was doing his nails.
