I was just reading a post about the person who went into Petland and was disgusted by it. My petland always smells, and things are so cramped. I have two area ‘bad’ shops that are privitely run and they are horrible. I noticed the one got rid of all of it’s non fish animals (they are mainly a fish store) the other one smells sooooo bad. It’s hot in there too, I can’t bear to tell you what it is like. Out big box petstores (Petsmart and Petco) are pretty good, things are always clean, but they could be interacting with the animals more.
Anyway, what is your Dream Pet Store?
Mine, ideally would have no pets. Maybe some display animals in the right cages having proper equipment, just to show how a healthly animal looks. IF they wanted an animal the store could direct them towards a well established breeder or rescue. It could hold classes for people interested in a certain animal, like bunnies or reptiles or something. Talking about proper care and setups. After or to lure them in to a class off like a 3% discount off the first purchase or something?
So what is your ideal petshop?
