        hey,
        so i was wondering if there are any cheap alternatives to oxbow pellets ? i don’t have a job and i would like to save a lil more money :

          There are plenty of alternatives to Oxbow pellets. You basically want a pellet that’s just a plain pelleted food, no added seeds or nuts or anything like that. You should look for low protein (I believe the numbers are around 12-14%) and high fibre (20% or more, I think?) and generally one with timothy hay as the first ingredient for fully grown adults. Younger rabbits can have alfalfa pellets with higher protein percentages (just slightly, I believe around 16-18%) until they’re around six months old.

          I personally feed Martins Little Friends rabbit food to all of my rabbits, and everyone likes it and does well on it. Just make sure to offer tons of fresh hay and a wide variety of vegetables.
