Apreggio recently started acting weird. He isn’t being energetic like usual. He is drinking, but not as much as normal, and he’s eating bare minimum. His pills are small in size and he will just lay where he urinated or dropped pills. He’s not walking on his front left foot. He acts like it is very sore and tender. It doesn’t feel like anything is broken, and he can still move it and use it, it just hurts him. He isn’t dehydrated or malnourished, and he is eating hay. I really really really do not have the money to take him to the doctor at the moment. Did he just pull a muscle?

It’s really impossible to diagnose a rabbit just over the internet. Which is why vets don’t do this either. Some things like this need an examination and possibly some pain meds if he is not feeling well.

Do you have a reason to believe he pulled a muscle other than not walking on his left front foot?

I agree with Sarita. It sounds like your bunny needs a trip to the vet.

Best of luck! Keep us posted.

So sorry to hear of your financial struggles. Vets certainly are expensive. Hope you can find a way to get him to a vet. It could be so many things. In the meantime, give him what you can to keep him eating. If you have any access to some apple or cherry juice, you could water that down 50/50 (I think) and that may encourage him to drink more. Mine like that on a hot day, anyway. Is it swollen? You could try warm compresses, but honestly, unless it’s a really severe fracture, I doubt you, as an amature, would pick up on it. But it sounds pretty serious having a bun that won’t get out of his own waste. PLEASE keep us posted!!!

My cage has a wire lip right outside the door that he may have got his paw stuck going in or out of his cage. My mom is calling the vet tomorrow.. I’m hoping for the best.. I hate seeing my little man in so much pain. Cage is going bun-bye as soon as possible..

Didn’t even get a chance to see the vet. ): Woke up this morning and he had passed away.. I have suspicion that it was because of how much spinach he was given.. I’m still learning I guess. ):

That’s so sad. Sounded pretty serious last night. My sympathies
