We all came to visit my mom, who adores them! Pebbles, Flin, 2 cats and a dog all sleep in the same room and they are all great friends!

My mom wants to take the buns to a dog free beach and see what they do with all the sand, I have heard of people doing this before and Pebbles and Flin are not nervy buns as they go straight up to the dog and cats and give them a sniff :p

Would of you take your baby to the beach?

Whilst it sounds a lovely idea I would not consider trying it. As it is a dog beach, dogs will be present, other peoples dogs. Unfortunately other people do not always control their dogs in social situation I would be extremely afraid that someones animal could decide the bunnies looked like an easy lunch and an Xpen or enclosure is not going to stop a large dog intent on consuming prey. Another scenario is that a dog will knock over the enclosure and they will run making the attractive to all of the dogs on the beach… If you have them on a leash or harness they are likely to bolt or panic and may injure themselves.

Seriously I would not even contemplate taking the to the beach under these circumstances. A park or open space that you are familiar with is different but some where that is specifically designated for people to take dogs is not a good idea.

Sorry, should have made it clear. The beach she wants to tale them to is a dog FREE beach, therefore no dogs are allowed on or near the beach.
Also i have harnesses which they are used to

That makes a huge difference then. If there are no dogs and you feel confident they will be safe then you could give it a try. What is the parasite situation over there flea and sand fly wise ?. We have a nasty sand fly here in WA that will bite you and lay eggs in the blister. Only find it on the beach or surrounding dunes (also attracted to rotting citrus) Don’t mean to play devils advocate but always a good thing to check all possible situations. One of our employees woke up the other morning with a huge supurating wound behind her ear full of sand fly larvae. She lives on the coast and has a big lemon tree in the garden that had dropped fruit. NASTY!!!!!

                  Yep….Urk !!!!
But seriously Bambam, not trying to rain on the parade or terrify you. A large part of my role at work is occupational health and safety, the core of which is risk assessment so I tend to approach things with a “Whats the worst thing that can happen?” attitude. That way you can plan for the contingencies and avoid the high risk situations.
You will know if its safe or not but just run through any thing that may be of concern before putting them at risk.
