Hey Everyone!
We have had our bunny, Goose, a holland lop for approximately 6 months (making him just over 8 months old). He is a house bunny who is given free range of our living room and kitchen when we are home and awake. In the morning we have a sweet bunny who loves to be petted and if you lay on the floor will spend a lot of time coming up to you and generally wanting to be around you. In the evening we have a bunny who loves to spend his time exploring and binkying (so at least I think he is happy). He will race back and forth between clean laundry piles or around our ottoman. However at night, the second anyone moves he goes as quick as he can back into his hutch and hides in the very corner. After a while he will come back out. (I’m not sure if this is left over from litter training I used to put him back any time he had an accident I would just walk behind him clapping to make him go back in or we would pick him up and put him in the litter box in our living room and gently pet him for a few minutes in it).
Any suggestions on how I can make him feel more comfortable at night. We have a good amount of lighting, we provide him with chew toys and cat balls and he seems willing to come out but just doesn’t like us to get close at night. We always sit on the floor instead of the couch to try to get us used to him.
Thanks,
Shannon & Goose the Bunny
