I am so proud of my little Mustachio. I want to show him off to the world. Well, I’ve heard of a pet show for “mutts”. Not just dogs. But any animal that is not a pure breed. I was thinking about intering Mustachio but I want y’all’s opnion first. I know he is not bothered by crowds. For some reason he (and all of my pets) LOVES atention, shopping, ridding in the car (as long as he’s in my lap and not a pet taxi), going to te park, just being out n’ about. So I’m not worried about him getting too scared. I just want to know if y’all think it would be okay.

If it were me, I’d totally do it!

I second that. I wish there were bunny shows around me (near Philly)… or agility competitions. I’d love to train my bun for something like that, but they’re only popular in Europe.

My major concern for something like this is that not everyone is vigilant about taking their pets to the vet, especially rabbits. I would be worried about my bunnies catching something from the other bunnies around. The judges touch multiple rabbits and I’m not sure if they sanitize their hands in between?

Admittedly, I don’t know anything about showing, especially mixed breed showing (what are they judging on?). I’m not very into the idea at all and to me it all seems like unnecessary stress and risk.

Haha, well there’s my “Debbie Downer” comment.

I’d enter my bun, but I’m having a hard time finding something that fits for the swimsuit competition!

It’s totally ok! I needed to get it from all angles. And I dont think anyone has really thought very far ahead (refering to the judging question). It’s like everything else in my town. One year we’ll do then we wont for about 5 then we’ll do in monthly for a year and it’s totaly different. Alot of stuff is spur of the moment. And I thought about the stress thing and my lil Mustachio is a weird little one. He LOVES atention. He’s been climming in his little purse pet carrier he stole from my cat silently demanding a walk through town. (Sadly, I have a bad knee from a soccer accident and it’s acting up.) And on the vet thing we only have one vet withing about 50 miles that takes Bunnies. I can find out who all has signed up and ask the lady in charge (who is also the principal for the only vitrual school around) if she will call the vet and see if they all have been? Or I can just recomend it be manditory for the bunnies to get a check up first?? (I think the secound one would a lot less of a hassle)

You guys just gave me an AWESOME idea.. Since my town is always We’ll do it we wont do it we’ll do it we wont do it AND we ALL wish there was much more “just for fun” bunny stuff going on. Why don’t I (or we all) get on Craigslist and post a “Bunny Group” under their group section? That would be fun! And to Cheri after reading your post I have the suden urge to drag out my sewing machine and make bunny clothes… o.o or cat clothes… *Ziva makes like a bat out of hell out of the room* …. Well then, I feel rejected.
