I just got the news on the radio…North Pole (the town nearby) has officially hit 90 degrees F! *gasp* There’s a Chinook wind blowing in like gangbusters from the east and it feels like a sauna up here! ~_~

Poor bunnies are going to go through a few freezy bottles today.

Seriously, that wind came in my rooom like a blast furnace and the temp literally went up about 5 degrees in the blink of an eye! 0_o

I didn’t realize it got that hot in Alaska! That’s pretty awful…

We’re from Florida and I couldn’t take the heat so we moved to Colorado. We have Chinooks here too, and they literally *scream* through our breezeway. It’s creepy in a cool way!

In Alaska? Seriously? Good grief, I’d send you some cool weather but it was 106 here today, but at least we’re somewhat used to it. You guys be careful and get cool!

Fairbanks Airport… … … … 87 degrees
Northway… … … … … … … 82 degrees

Temperatures will continue to climb for several more hours.
Clouds and cooler air will begin to move into the area this
evening… and while Monday will be a warm day… records highs are

Wow, that’s a hot one! I sympathize! *hugs*
Considering that winter temps here reach about -40 F, the 90 is kind of like your 100+ there Sarita. I envy you your A/C because no one thinks of installing that in homes up here. >.<
This wind reminds me of the Santa Anas in California. Those were terrible. I just hope no one does anything stupid like light a bonfire or a burn barrel up here.

lolz…I never did well enough in math to be able to figure Celsius. It boggles me how you folks who use metric get along, I’ve used English Standard all my life and couldn’t do without it.
Let’s see…there’s got to be an auto-calc for metric online somewhere….

lol depends on how you look at it, everything we do it to the 10th, lol 10 mm = 1 cm 10cm =1dm 10dm = 1 m and so on and so forth.

Metric is so much simpler! I’m still not used to silly american measurements. Let’s see.. it is currently 99 fahrenheit here. 27 celcius. Too hot!

Luckily we’ve got some clouds moving in. We’ll greenhouse for a few hours, but then by evening maybe we’ll get a little rain and it’ll cool off faster. The house is going to be terrible though, with all the heat storing up in the attic…yuck.

Yeah, you’d think that doing stuff by tens would be simple for me, but it really isn’t. I get so messed up with it. >.<

i had to laugh a little at 82 being a record high, but then i remember that you guys don’t have air conditioning. YUCK. i can’t imagine life without a/c. sure, it was 105 today, but i only went outside for a few minutes at a time.
