so Ive come to the realization that my life now revolves around bunny time…which means no sleeping in…no going to bed early…being woken up when Cady decides its time for me to wake up!  Im guessing Im not the only one lol.  I guess it sort of works out that I work overnights, except when I have a terrible night and cant wait to sleep but certain spoiled bunnys decide they need my absolute attention…Its also occurred to me I am scared to death to have children, if I can love 2 bunnies this much and completely alter my life for them I dont want to even think about what would happen with kids!

Children are easy… lol. After bunnies, nothing will be able to throw you.

me too lol I was a nanny for quite some time and as rewarding as it and as close as I was with the family there were many days I couldnt wait to get home! and you cant just put a baby in a room with some toys while you try to catch up on sleep!

A co-worker asked if I could babysit sometime for his 1 year old and I asked DH if he’d like to do it. DH’s comment was “Does he come with a kennel that we can put him in if he’s bad? Like with a puppy?” LOL I have to say I’m much more comfortable with older kids who are a little more independent.

I always felt like I had a kid with Eddie. He was into EVERYTHING all the time like a toddler and then morph and give me attitude like a teenager. LOL

As RabbitPam (I THINK) said “Put the child in the x-pen and the bunny out of it.”

I think by the time that we become parents (if some of us choose to), we will be champs at baby proofing!!

Oh yes, Tara, having children makes me paranoid as well…. I know how you feel. I’m always thinking about how Chacha is while I’m at work.

Brit, I don’t know about baby proofing, but we hope to get a puppy next year and we’ll be excellent at puppy proofing! We’re already well trained not to leave anything on the floor.

I think I would have been more prepared for my daughter if I had my bunny first.

                          aww, i love that picture!

From what I hear, it sounds like you’d be a great parent! Yes, it’s horribly stressful and exhausting, but think of how much love you have for your buns and how terrific it feels!

Cady: Mom! Mom! Mom! Mom! Mom! Mom! Mom! Mommy! Mommy! Mommy! Mommy! Mommy! Mommy! Momma! Momma! Momma! Momma! Momma! Ma! Ma! Ma! Ma! Ma! Ma! Mom! Mom! Mom!

                            Me: WHAT!

Cady: …Hi! [runs out of room] Teeheeheeheehee!
                            (borrowed from family guy)

This is how I feel every morning!

The being a mother thing never totally freaked e out, my family keeps asking and suggesting to me and my bf about having kids because Im kind of the one in the family who gets the babies thrown at them at family events when then wont stop crying. Im excited to have kids but part of the reason I got my bunnies was to help hold off that urge and it definitely helped! but Im sure in the not so far off future me and Chris (thats the bf, figured I should give him a name since he started checking this site too) will consider a baby.

Put me in the terrified of babies camp. I keep telling people it’ll happen “in 10 years”, but now I realize that in 10 years I’ll be older than 35 and for health reasons I always said if I don’t have one by then I’m not having one. Now I’m down to 8 years! Eeek!
