After 4 years of having Cotton run lose in the living room Fouad gets up one day and out of the blue he doesn’t want cotton out when he is home.  WHA!!!!!     I told him not gona happen.

So he stayed away for a few days and came back.  He hasn’t said anything about Cotton being lose agian.

I told him when he had birds he let them fly around the house that he couldn’t stand to see them caged all the time.  Well neither does Cotton.

I think what this boiled down to was he is feeling ill and he is getting  a test done he is scared of.  So he decided to take it out on Cotton. I talked  to him about it and asked if that was the problem.

He seems to think he can catch Cottons pastuerella.   I told him no we don’t have that problem.  They can’t get sick from us and that we can’t get sick from them.

He is still a bit obsessive about it tho.  After I pet Cotton he wants me to wash my hands.     Ok I can live with that.

Big thumbs up for you BT!
It sounds like you know him well. I hope his fears are relieved soon and things calm down again.

He let birds fly around but didn’t like the bunny loose?
Birds can easily make their humans sick and aren’t too clean…
But it’s good he doesnt mind it right now.

Incorrect – there are only two things you can catch from a bird and both are pretty serious to the bird. Birds are just as safe to have around as bunnies and can be just as clean. The smaller ones even more so, since they won’t chew your wires and start a fire hazard. My tiel flies around free all the time, just like my buns aren’t caged.

Good for you to stand up for your bun and get to the root of the problem.

You do know him well, BT. And someone else would be much more upset at the staying away for a few days behavior. He’s lucky to have you (and Cotton) and I hope his tests go well and they can do something to make him feel better. It’s nice to have someone who understands you as you do him. Between his health and Cotton’s, it keeps you worried, too.

Yes it has been very worrisome.    His test was done thursday.  HE is staying in that area til he sees the Dr. for the results next week.

When he is hurting he gets really picky n fussy.  He hurts all the time.  Hope they get to the bottom of the issue.

That test wasn’t so bad he slept thru the whole thing.  He has a cold now tho.
