Hello! My bunny magnolia is back at it again, doing something to make me run to BinkyBunny ?. I have started finding about 1 secal every few days on the floor in her pen. I have no idea how many bunnies are supposed to eat / produce a day but i figured it wasnt a lot to cause concern. But this morning i walked in and found 3-4 cecals! I have no idea what her issue is. She is 1 year, eats Oxbow Adult Pellets, and tons of watered veggies, drinks a good amount of water and eats so much hay. Please help if this is something i should be worried about!! Thanks

Hi, I hope your bunny feels better soon!! Does she seem lethargic? Is she eating food and drinking water normally? Maybe try to give less pellets and veggies and more hay for a day or two. If she doesn’t seem to get any better, I would suggest seeing a vet as soon as possible.

How much pellets and veggies do you give her? If her diet is too rich she won’t eat them.

I agree with A&B, normally its that they’re overproducing them, rather than not eating them at all. How many pellets does she get a day? My adult bunnies get roughly a tablespoon each.

I think I’ve only ever seen one loose cecal so far, which was kind of icky (of course) when I touched it to toss it back in the buns’ condo under the impression that it was a regular poop (it was dimly lit at the time or I might have recognized it straight off). Make sure hay is always the chief component in Magnolia’s diet, you may want to try cutting back on her greens and pellets intake as others recommended.
