Well…. Was getting ready to go this morning and despite the crippling cold of living in a house with out a ceiling I was doing pretty well. Dressed, abluted, kittehs fed, bunnies given pellets hay and water and just waiting on greens. Walk back to the sunroom with breakfast greens and notice that Pepper Bunny is on the Day Bed chatting to her daughter Nermie Nomnoms through the cage bars… HOLD ON…. WHATS PEPPER DOING ON THE DAY BED??….. looks about, OMG THEY’RE OUT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I’ve got to go to work, what are they doing out ???????? I can’t go to work and leave them out and trust me, BUNNIES ARE SMART….THEY KNOW THIS! OK OK Nermies in the bach pad… NO problem, Girls are out but we can sort that as long as Piglet is still in th…… OH CRAP PIGLETS LOOSE………Damn, unlike the girls HE won’t come for Craisins and for a fat spoiled rabbit he’s fast on his hocks…….Have to catch Piglet first… He knows, you can tell by the rapid fire sideways binkies across the day bed… I am watching him and he is watching me… We switch to Bunway 500’s round the play area… Bugger… He’s just too fast. More binkies on the day bed just to taunt me… Little Sod !!!!! OK start dropping the brekky greens into the hutch and teasing him with tasty morsels before tossing them into the bungalow… He’s interested but not so interested that the hay basket on the other side of the play pen won’t distract him…THE HAY BASKET…. YES… HE’s Sitting in the hay basket… HELLO HANDSOME… Want a nose rub, oh you do… you like that… good how about the ears and the ne….. YOINK!!!!!! GOTCHAAA Don’t you dare bite me…… Into the loft with you…. Madly shaking the Craisin box the Craisin whores come running BUT Pepper pauses, something is amiss. In order to get the craisins I must go into the hutch, hmmmmm, craisins or morning binkies….Another shake of the box…. CRAISINS Craisinscraisinscraisins Pepper leaps into the hutch. All bunnies contained door slams shut breathes a sigh of relief and calculates exactly how late I am going to be for work. Thank the Goddess I didn’t have any meetings this morning. I need a drink and its only a little after 8am!!
