MoveDiagonally: Your pets are so pretty! Are Scully and Mulder siblings? Love how they’re stacked while eating! Do the dogs get along with the kitties? Every Boxer I’ve ever met was a huge lovebug.

          Here’s our Lily.

As a baby (aka her Chihuahua phase):

          All grown up:

I only have two other pets and they are my love mutts! Bear is very camera shy so they aren’t the best of pics and Abbie LOVES the camera. Bear is the big pooch and Abbie is the little pooch… Excuse me, for I am obssessed with ALL of my four legged friends *clears throat*

Abbie in the leaves! I love my big tolerant boy  Bear really, REALLY liked Jack. This here is Abbie’s signature move lol Bear is camera shy

Omg I love Zeus’ pretty face! And those cats are HUGE! It’s crazy how big cats can get. I’m used to seeing the dainty all petite ones and then I go into a shelter and see cats that are twice the size of my dog! And awww Lily looks so proud there!

Hazel – Mulder and Scully are siblings! The dogs and cats get along in varying degrees. The dogs don’t chase/bug them at all. Scully and Mulder are indifferent to the dogs while Koopa loves rubbing all over them while they try to sleep.

Lily looks so elegant! What a pretty cat. Is she Siamese? I’ve heard they’re “talkers”.

NBO123 – Bear looks like such a sweet big moose! How big is he? Zeus is big even for a boxer about 80-85lbs. You’re little Abbie is just adorable. Koopa is my “daintiest” cat but that’s not saying much. Lol.

Mulder is our biggest cat and he has an infatuation with my husband. If my husband is in the same room as Mulder, Mulder is either trying to sit on him or sitting on him. >.<

(Don’t mind the messy background in the first one. Spring Cleaning is in progress)

I posted this in the picture thread but that’sMulder next to my 9lb Monty.

Pooh Bear is 97 pounds! He is almost 8 years old although I think he may be older because his teeth are ground down so far I’m amazed he can still eat hard food. I feel as though he gums his food! I rescued him like 4 years ago he weighed 48 pounds!! And he is one of the most well behaved dogs I have ever had I can’t believe someone would just dump this amazing dog!    Here are a few pics of him a few months after I got him

When I FIRST introduced him and Abbie she HATED Bear she didn’t like the idea of sharing me. She actually kept trying to jump up and bite his face but she couldn’t reach and Bear just raised his head not giving the slightest care this pest that he didn’t even know was trying to latch herself onto him. She quickly realized what a big teddy bear he was And that bed you see? Yeah that is a real tempurpedic over lay that I cut for him to sleep on. I felt like a big dog needed the extra support for his joints. The overlay was too large to fit my full size so I cut it and gave him the left over

I’m 5’8 to give you an idea. He only came up because I asked him to… he NEVER will jump on you. He can’t do this anymore since gaining all that weight.. not to mention he has aged 4 more years and his hips are getting a little stiff. I hate seeing him aging. He is an Anotolian/Husky mix. And Abbie is a chihuahua/dachshund mix. She’s turning 4 this summer.

Amy’s Animals – I love love love Sharpei’s! Lucy is gorgeous.

NBO123 – I got Zeus from a woman who was selling her home and couldn’t take him with her. Through people that knew people that knew me he found his way to my home. That was 7 years ago! He’s almost 9 years old and we were lucky to escape some of the tell tale signs of aging until recently. He’s just getting a little slower, it’s a littler harder for him to jump on stuff, etc…. I totally feel ya about hating watching them age.

Zeus was the first “adult dog” that I had all on my own (before I lived with my husband). I used to take him EVERYWHERE. I even worked for my uncle at a warehouse that allowed dogs so he spent 24/7 with me. He loves my husband but he’s totally “my baby”.

Bear was lucky to have found you.

                            I love pet stories

LOL yeah Lucy loves her toys!!
She is a great dog. Very well behaved. She came to us as a stray about 4-5 years ago. She was all beaten up and underweight. We gave her the care she needed and now she’s a happy healthy dog, despite having some skin allergy issues.

She is a Shar Pei/ Lab mix… I think she may have some pit bull in her too but I am not certain on that. She just looks like she might. Sweetest dog I’ve ever had and she is very well behaved. Never once has gotten into the trash or anything. The only times she’s gone to the bathroom in the house is when she was sick and was trying to tell us something. Luckily I noticed she was doing something out of character so we took her to the vet. It’s amazing how a rescue dog or stray dog can be so loyal and well behaved. =)

The trash reminded me of something really funny that Bear used to do! When I was still living in Texas I had my BFF for a roommate living with me and my best friend had this box full of snacks like chips and donuts and such in this box under her desk in her room and whenever we would leave Bear, I swear to god, will go into her room, grab a bag of snacks and place it upright in the living room floor in front of the door. He didn’t dig through them or try to eat them…he even carried it by the handle. Anyways, he would get anything that was in that box and go and put them on the living room floor lol Needless to say my best friend and I were perplexed as to what had happened while we were away…

He didn’t get in trouble because he would always place them neatly on the floor and he never tried eating them… I don’t know why he did it but I thought it was rather cute

Birdy or Birdy, Shut Up.  It’s usually Birdy, Shut Up because most of the time he’s screeching.  He does whistle sometimes and I don’t mind that – it’s the screeching and the car alarm that makes me crazy – small bird, big noise.

MoveDiagonally: Yes, she’s a lilac point Modern Siamese, and YES, she talks constantly. Several times a day I literally beg her to shut up, but all I get is backtalk.

Her other hobbies include sucking her tail, eating anything that’s not nailed down and flipping her water bowl over (although we just got a handle on that by getting her some nice heavy ceramic bowls). So you can see, she’s a joy to be around!

Bear looks so sweet, I’m glad he found a loving home with you!

Kiki’s beautiful, I love her color. Lucy’s face is adorable, I bet she loves all those toys!

There are too many pets to mention, they’re all very cute!

I have 2 dogs, and 5 puppies. (Well, the puppies were kinda an accident, my dog was in heat and I tried keeping them apart, but someone ended up letting them in the same room together while I wasn’t home.  I’m for sure getting them fixed this summer though, we just haven’t had the money yet.) ANYWAY.

                                        All the names:

The adult dogs: Lucy in the sky with diamonds (AKA Lucy.) And Sargent Pepper (AKA Pepper)

The puppies: Zeus, Hercules, Odysessus, Pandora, and Aphrodite.

(You can tell my naming style apart from my parents naming style. )

Now pictures! Because puppies are always adorable to look at, I’ll do that first. I was kind enough to go and edit it so it says which puppies are which.

That was difficult to do, since there’s two sets of “twins” (they’re nearly identicle to eachother.) They were born just four days ago. Even though I was angry about her having another litter after I’ve asked dozens of times to have the dogs fixed, I’m still happy for the puppies, because who couldn’t love puppies?

Pepper, aka the old man (He’s 7, going on 8, but he’s got some gray hairs going on.)

He actually used to be all black like the puppy, but as you can see, he’s got some grays going on and he also has a brown undercoat now, also he has horrible allergies, that are set off by the littlest things.

                                        And Lucy:

This photo was right after I tried teaching her to swim, last year, and figured out that she could already swim perfectly fine (Demonstrated in the next photo)

I actually started laughing really hard in this photo because she just took off into the water (on the leash.) and started swimming and she looked so funny to me.

Oh, and then there’s Calypso, she’s not my dog but she’s my brothers, I just think she’s so cute, she ended up destroying Lucy’s favorite toy (The one in the photo)

But yeah, I those are all the non-bun pets in my life. <3 If I was moved out on my own, I'd have a couple rats and/or turtles.. maybe a tortise too..  But my mom’s terrified of rats and said she has enough animals in her house.. Haha, but yeah. That’s all.

                                          Here are my non-bunny children.

I have 2 cats, which seems like not enough considering we had 5 when we moved here.  This is Savana, aka “The Kitten”. She was the only one of our cats we got as a kitten. Lucky for me, she stayed a kitten. She’s 7 but never got big or lost her kittenish looks. She’s a very strange little cat with a weird personality. She’s very cute and funny.  She’s Momma’s cat, she doesn’t like men much.

This is my sweet Andy, who’s about 11. He’s got the sweetest personality ever and I’m pretty sure he’s the laziest cat in the world.

And my beloved Winnie horse. She’s a registered Morgan under the name “Riverbreeze Mystic Bay”. I officially bought her just before she turned 1 but I’ve known her all her life and actually watched her birth. We’ve been a very bonded pair for a long time as she’s going to be 12 in May.  I trained her myself. She’s a wonderful, willing to do anything for you, little mare. She has EMS which is like horse diabetes and quite common in her breed. She can’t have sweets or a lot of green grass.  She’s the horse I dreamed about my entire childhood and I feel really lucky to have her.

Oh I forgot to add my Bucky! We moved a coupld of years ago so I don’t get to see or pet him anymore. Since he is a deer you can’t just pack him up and bring him with you. How he came into my life was that I ran him over! I would say he was maybe a week old. For the first few nights I kept him in the house to feed him every few hours. After a couple days I let him outside to be a deer. All I had to do during feeding time was go outside, shake the milk bottle, and yell, “BUUUCCKKKYY” and wait a few minutes and he would come out of hiding. We had 800 acres of land where he lived so I’m not sure why I allowed him to just go outside and live there when he was only 2 weeks old but I felt that he was a wild animal and he needed to learn all of lives lessons if he were going to survive. And yes, I was taking the chance on him dying by allowing this to happen but that was just nature, and I wanted Bucky to be apart of nature. AND it’s LEGAL to have a pet deer as long as they are not enclosed in a pen. I even walked around the land with him following me to teach him what to stay away from. When I saw wild pigs, I would run and Bucky would quickly go into hiding  as well. When he was old enough to keep up with me he would just run away and stay by my side lol If I heard coyotes near by, I would run and so forth. Needless to say, He lived through the scary side of nature night after night and grew up to be quite a big boy! He leaves every year during “mating” season and come back after a few months when it ended. We had to put a tag on him so the hunters knew he was off limits when they came on our ranch to hunt. Here is my big guy BUCKY! He was about 3 or 4 years old here.

Oh, and we sold the land and Bucky was kind of like part of the package. The people who now live there say that Bucky still comes by every night. Bucky actually stays with the antelope. (yes, we had antelope) and he would ALWAYS hang out with the big black antelope buck. He started hanging out with the black buck when he was around 5-6 months old. Here they are:

and no, the antelope were not tame… but they were very tolerant of us because every evening they would gather in front of our house to sleep and be gone again in the morning.

NBO that’s so cool! My only question is, where do you even get an antelope?

The antelope were already there when we first got the land. There were hundreds! It was always fun watching them hop and play.
