Chito usually eats his vegetables very well. His favourite is crunchy lettuce. Since last night he’s been a little more reluctant to eat it. He nibbles on it, then leaves. He still eats hay and several hours later go back to his plate of vegetables and eats it all. His poops are still okay. I gave him benebac and some simethicone just in case.

He also looks sleepier these days. Maybe it’s the weather? Should I be worried?

My rabbit Clem used to never get enough of our homegrown herbs, a few weeks ago she stopped eating them and preferred to eat romaine lettuce, it could be that he may have just gotten bored of it. Did you try to see how he’d react to something different?

He also hides more (but I always go to him with hay bits to make sure he eats even in the corners). I massaged his tum because I found him sitting as a half Loaf under the chair.

Maybe a beginning of stasis? I hope this passes soon because my anxiety is off the roof.

Thank you for your reply! He ate a few sprigs of mint and today is shopping day for us. I hope there’s plenty of vegetables in the supermarket. We’ll keep trying!

I can’t confirm for you whether or not it’s stasis because none of my rabbits have had it yet. I do know the key sign is hardly eating at all. I will let a more knowledge bunny owner help you with that issue, I don’t want to give you bad advice. But it sounds like to me it may be a tummy ache.
Just make sure to not overwhelm him with too many new greens if they’re new.

                  Gotcha. Thank you!

It’s been a while since chito had this (like a year ago) so I’m freaking out a tiny bit. Feeding him strands of hay as I type!

I took a look at his front teeth and they look alright. I’m not sure if it’s dental.

He’s always had a lot of hay and veggies and some pellets every day, so I can’t help but wonder if he’s stressed. We have outdoor cats and recently there’s been more accidents of them slipping in and almost meeting the poor boy.

And I’m going on a holiday at the 12th today. Ugh.

I was freaking out too and thought my bun was going through stasis, I hope for the best and that it’s not. It sounds like you spoil Chito.

I do spoil him. I can’t remember the last time I bought myself clothes lol

Chito is loafing behind a door now. He usually sprawls out everywhere so I lean to a tum tum problem even more now.

Hoping for the best! I’ll keep him nibbling and hydrated. And this thread will document everything because my partner is still asleep and I can’t rant to them hahaha

I’m sure he’ll be good then, you’re a perfect bun slave.

Oddly enough, Panda was slightly reluctant to eat her share of spring mix tonight. It took putting a share in the smaller bowl I usually use for pellets, hand-feeding and some coaxing to get her to chow down, but in the end she did (and did a binky after it was all over too!)

He wants to eat even less now. He did bite some of the hay and mint I gave him but nothing else. I tried syringe feeding him with critical care and I think that stressed him out further. God I’m so stressed too now

Found some uneaten ceco under the cage.

Also earlier this morning when I inspected his poops I found some poops strung with hair. Not the thick ones, though. Just wispy strands of hair connecting poops together…

Is he moulting? My thought would be maybe hair building up from him grooming if he’s moulting??

If he is brush him daily and softly pluck any loose hairs you can to stop more building up
