my buns and I share the bedroom- about half of the room is blocked off via-NIC cubes, and the other half has my bed. i’m pretty sure that they have more room than I do… but thats not the point! they stay in their play pens all the time (their cages are in the play pens in case they need some privacy) and i go in at various times during the day and lay down in there with them. or play. or become a human playground. So last night, I went to bed after our play time. I awoke at 2:30 in the morning, however, with max sniffing my face… He has discovered how to move the NIC cube gate to wriggle free. I dont know how long he was romping around my room, but i found several pooplets in each corner of my room! but i cant say that i minded being awoken by Max… it was pretty cute Penny may have ventured out of the play pen, but she was laying by the “door” that Max made when i tried to rebuild the playpen. needless to say, I need to find a way to attach the playpen to my wall.

have your buns ever broken free?? stories are definitely needed

Haha, so cute. There are ways Otto could break free, but he hasn’t figured any of them out yet. I keep my fingers crossed that he won’t figure it out any time soon.

Haha, this reminds me of the time fern escaped,

I too have my bunnies living in my room, they take up almost all of the space! Also at one point I had the pen just pressed up against the side of my wall so it could be pushed away by a determined bun.

Well so one night I woke up to go to the bathroom, I went to step over the pen so I could get to the bathroom (the pen is flush against my bed) and I saw Fern on the wrong side of the pen. It took me a while to realize what had happened (cause you know when you wake up you are still groggy and tired). Then I put her back in her pen and saw that she had pushed the pen away from the wall, gone into my clothes area, gone under my bed and crawled around until she found her way next to my bedside table! Boy was I surprised!
            Cheeky little devil!

I then stuffed one end of the pen into my cupboard so she can’t push it away, (is it just me or is it true that once a bunny finds a way to escape they persist at the same spot over and over again).

            Lol those little buns!

for sure. they live in the same space 24/7.
they did much better outside of the neutral space, in max’s play pen. he seemed less competitive and more “let me show you all the fun places”.

penny is still ridiculously skiddish- i can touch her face and back most of the time. but i’ve really only had her for maybe 2 weeks? and it took max about a month and a half to totally warm up to me… i’m just hoping she breaks out of her shell and doesnt abide by the skiddish-small-bunny stereotype.

buttons gets a area blocked off with puppy gates to play. there is a teeny corner that opens, its about 2 inches by 2 inches. buttons is a medium size rabbit. don’t ask me how but hesqueezes his head thorough. he scrambles his legs aroun like a fish out of water, and what do you know? hes out? it is so funny! it always makes me crack up!

oh yea-im sure penny will come around

Bunnie just managed to break out of her cage last night. I woke up this morning and she was laying on the floor.

I was so confused. I don’t know how she got out either…Strange.
