Hello,
Is it ok to move my 16 & 18 week old rabbits onto some vegetables? They have had the odd bit of carrot and kale but I would like to introduce vegetables into their diet full time because I am worried I am not feeding them enough.
I feed them ‘Fiber first’ and they have 3 sticks each in the morning and 3 at night (I put them in a log and stuff it with hay so that they have to work to get their food out). If I give anymore than 6 sticks a day, Percy, the miniature lop usually produces extra caecotrophes. I have had mixed information about this, in some places it suggests that it might be because he is young and thats why he doesn’t always eat all of his caecotrophes. With Herbert, Netherland Dwarf, we don’t seem to have this problem. Herbert feels a better weight than Percy though, Percys ribs are more prominent.
They always have unlimited Timothy Hay.
I was wondering if someone could recommend which vegetables to start introducing first please?
Thank you.
