        Hello fellow rabbit lovers,

I am new to this website but have often come here in the past for questions I had regarding about owning a rabbit (but never thought of joining). Until today that is
My little guys name is Velvet. He is 3 years old and is the goofiest little bugger ever. He is a dwarf and a polish boy. I found him on Kijiji and as soon as I saw him I had to have him. Now before I get any hate, since then I have not purchased any animals. (If I ever plan on getting another rabbit I will defiantly look into the SPCA before buying from a breeder)
I was in college in residence at the time when I got him. All of my roommates and my floor mates absolutely loved him. I used to be able to hold him with one hand. We used to play tag all the time where I would playfully chase him across the room and he would chase me back. He instantly knew how to potty train (which was wonderful) and weirdly would always hide in my trash can  .
As soon as I held him in my hands I knew what his name was. His name is generally because of his fur. He’s as dark and as soft as the fabric Velvet.

Recently I just got him neutered and he’s doing much better. Before he went in, he peed on my bed… Every chance he got . Of course I couldn’t stay mad at him for long. He also started becoming very aggressive but wouldn’t hump anything. Weird little guy. Since then he’s become much better and I’m thankful I made that decision.

A habit that I hope he’ll never kick is rolling around like a dog. Does anyone else’s rabbit do that? I think it’s so adorable and I love it every time. It always puts a big smile on my face.

Well that’s a little bit about my bun-bun. Let me know is yours very similar to mine? Have some of the same habits? I’d love to hear about it

Hi and big welcome to you and Velvet!
We don’t hate on people here regardless of how they’ve gotten their rabbits. We don’t support intentional breeding, so we have a rule against discussions on breeding – but there are plenty of members here who have gotten their buns from breeders or pet-shops. Everybunny is a bunny, we love them all =)

Velvet looks like a little toy in you hand!

I’ve never seen a bunny roll around, it sounds charming =) Great that neutering him stopped his peeing on your bed. My Bam stopped peing on the sofa after he was neutered, so for me too it was a great decision.
