› FORUM › THE LOUNGE › WELCOME ! › New to the site – my happy (conniving) little baby girl
I’ve been spamming my friends and family with pictures and videos of my new bunny since I brought her home but they really just don’t understand my excitement beyond the standard “that’s cute” thing. So I’m sure you all get the little joys that come along with each of our bunnies “firsts”.
I brought my baby girl (Min) home about three weeks ago and she is doing great. Absolutely wonderful. It took her about 3 days to get comfortable with me and she stopped freaking out and hiding everytime I twitched and by the end of the week she was letting me pet her and I even got a few tooth purrs! It only took us about a week to get fully litterbox trained (only one little hick-up last week where she managed to sneak into my bedroom and left presents EVERYWHERE and it took a few days to get back on track after that). By week two she was doing binkies all over the house and just genuinely being an adorable little spazz and now in our third week she has started flopping which scares the bleep out of me everytime even though it’s sooooooo cute. At the moment she is flopped down next to me, completely sprawled out and sound asleep.
I read a lot of info before getting a bunny so it really surprised me that she warmed up to me so quickly and has settled in and is (based on her behavior) completely comfortable with me and her environment already. She is very affectionate and seems to be quite attached to me already (she follows me around the house like a puppy most days). Based on my readings that isn’t the norm so I guess I just lucked out with a super open and friendly little bunny.
Anyway, sorry this got so long and is utterly pointless but I just need to talk about my little bunbun <3
Have a picture >_<

She is gorgeous and looks like she has quite the character.
She’s adorable! I think I’m in love with her!
Bun-napping plans are already in place! Mwahahaha! How old is she? What breed is she? A dwarf perhaps?
Apollo (my mini lop) is my second bun, but first house bun! I adore him, so I feel your need to melt of cuteness every day! <3
Ooh by the way, I love her little white tipped nose! She looks like she’s had her nose somewhere she shouldn’t…you haven’t left any cans of white paint open have you?! ![]()
Roberta – Thank you. She has more character than I really know what to do with >_<
Welcome – she’s adorable! I’m going to move this to the Welcome section as well.
OMG I so wanna bunny-nap her!!!!! she is absolutely adorable!!!!! welcome to the group and I wish you the best of luck and high binkies!!!!
Sarita – thank you! And sorry, I guess I posted it in the wrong spot :/
bullrider76543 – Haha well she’s all mine so you guys can’t have her! But thank you, she’s really the sweetest little thing.
(;’i8jhkwaS <— she wrote this for you all)
LOL its ok I get threatened all the time with everyone wanting to steal Big Blue LOL and Peanut LOL
Oh she’s just adorable, love the white nose! There’s no way she’s 6 months old, she looks younger… guess she is a dwarf mix =P
I’m pretty new myself, but Welcome! It sounds like you are doing a wonderful job as a new bunny momma. Congrats on your precious baby!
THAT. FACE. is adorable!!! she looks like such a little princess!
Aww, what a little cutie. I can’t wait to see more pictures of her. ![]()
Nuggetbuns – Thanks, she’s a little cutie. Well, that’s just what the vet told me but she could still be younger I suppose. I live in S. Korea so there was obviously some language barrier issues both in getting her and during vet visits so I can really only go off of what I was told/understood. And she would definitely be a drawf mix. Not full-blooded anything >_<
Purplebunni – Thank you! She seems to approve of me so I must be doing something right ^^ I have luckily and unfortunately spent a lot of time with her the past two weeks because I was really ill so it definitely helped our bonding.
CupcakeandDizziesmom – Lol thanks. She is definitely a little princess. Spoiled rotten already too.
Koralsie – Thank you. I think we all understand how taking bunny pictures is a newfound hobby ![]()
She looks so much like my baby bun, who is 3 months old now.
Mine is not allowed to get on the couch because she peed on it once, but elsewhere she is litter trained.
My bun follows me everywhere around the house too and would come when I call her name, well usually.
Awww my little girl is fine with the couch but she isn’t allowed anywhere near my bed. I had to wash an awful lot of bedding in our first week so no more. Maybe we will try again once she is fixed. My bedroom is the only place in the whole apartment she isn’t allowed in so obviously she spends her every waking moment trying to get around/jump over the block I have on the stairs. *sigh*
Mine will come when I call usually too! She thinks she will get a treat. Most days she is right :/
Love your little bun! And so jealous that she’s so cuddly. I have two buns – but neither of them like to be held 🙁 Glad you’re enjoying your new companion.
And my buns are also not allowed in our bedroom. Baxter tries multiple times per day to see if the gate was accidentally left open. And if so – he immediately hides under the bed and thumps 🙂 I don’t understand why he wants to go there so badly – when it scares him. LOL
Thank you! My little girl is only cuddly on her terms and she definitely doesn’t like to be held. She usually just comes and sits on me or flops next to me and lets me pet her.
I think she likes being upstairs because a) she isn’t allowed (obviously) so everything is new and different for her and b) it’s carpetted so it’s easier for her to run around. Any time she sneaks up there I find her running her bunny 500 around my hedgehog’s cage. I occasionally let her up there if I sit and watch her but not often and not for very long.
