So in the easter seson there are too many temptations. I went into tractor supply company looking at ducklings. My husband was practically begging like a little child. He decided against them when he found out you had to take four. I on the other hand found my new baby.

I was not looking for another furbaby, and if i were, i would have found a reputable breeder or a rescue.

Thumper, a baby gray flemish giant was reclined against the side of the PINE SHAVING filled stainless steel trough they were housed in. The rest of the litter was there, but he was chilling. Thats why he caught my eye. I was talking to my friend Mark, a tsc employee about the ducks, when a couple came up to him and asked if the rabbits were appropriate for meat. (Okay background, I am a vegetarian because peta has those awful videos and I saw them, and I now believe i am healthier as well as happier.) So my veg heart cried out and I scooped Thumper up. My husband rolled his eyes, I pointed out that those people were looking to eat the rabbits, and he said OKAY OKAY, you win.

So My ex also got my children a holland lop for easter, and the little doe is sweet and lovey, housed in a seperate room from Thumper for now. I’d like to get him neutered and then maybe attempt bonding them. But he has snuffles and they are intact, so thats a no go right now. They have not even seen one another from afar!!

Both are house rabbits and although the lop, Cinnamaroll is in theory the girls, (12 and 13) she is now my furbaby too, and i trust the children with none of her care at this time. We let her out to play when I am in the room with them, and she gets two hours with me, when the girls are at school. The buns do not share anything at this point, and since she seems healthy and he has snuffles I sanitize my hands and change my clothes between rooms/bunnies.

This is the current state of bunny affairs at our place!!
