New to bunny ownership (I love it!) and I am so happy to have found such a great website/forum of helpful people<img src="/DesktopModules/ActiveForums/themes/BB_Theme/emoticons/smile.gif">&nbsp;I got my first bunny at the end of Jan '17, her name is <g class="gr_ gr_294 gr-alert gr_gramm gr_disable_anim_appear gr_inline_cards Punctuation only-del replaceWithoutSep" id="294" data-gr-id="294">Eevee,</g> and recently got another, her name is Mocha. I don't know their breeds, but I do have photos<img src="/DesktopModules/ActiveForums/themes/BB_Theme/emoticons/biggrin.gif"><img src="/DesktopModules/ActiveForums/themes/BB_Theme/emoticons/tongue.gif">&nbsp;They are similar <g class="gr_ gr_422 gr-alert gr_spell gr_disable_anim_appear gr_inline_cards ContextualSpelling multiReplace" id="422" data-gr-id="422">colours</g>, both with white spots on their noses. Mocha is super <g class="gr_ gr_433 gr-alert gr_spell gr_disable_anim_appear gr_inline_cards ContextualSpelling ins-del multiReplace" id="433" data-gr-id="433">fluffly</g>&nbsp;with soft fur with a more block-shaped head and Eevee has short hair and more of a pointy face.</p>

Eevee we adopted as a baby so she is only a couple of months old. We are her first owners. We haven’t gotten around to getting her fixed yet. Eevee is the sassy one, she will hop around like a mad thing and run in circles when she *feels* like it. She nibbles clothes and bed sheets and occasionally humans but she is a brave rabbit around humans and she’s full of personality!

Mocha spent most of her early days alone in a pet store being stroked by random people and manhandled. A lady paid for her and said she would return to collect the rabbit but never did. The pet store reserved her for the lady but she couldn’t stay in that environment forever so they let me take her home with me as a companion for Eevee. Unlike Eevee, Mocha tolerates being picked up, but any sudden movements and she runs into a corner. She is the sweetest little thing, just afraid. She is also only a couple months old and we are her first owners, she is taking a little longer than Eevee to warm up to us and trust us. We have not bonded them or housed them together yet as they are not yet neutered (also, every time I see Eevee lunge at Mocha I feel sad and separate them)

like I said I am new to rabbits and heard that they have a lot of tummy/gut problems, so I’m watching them closely for any unusual behaviour and probably stressing myself out more than anything

I have always wanted rabbits but my mother never allowed them. I love how cute they are and affectionate too. I underestimated how much work they were but it is worth the effort and nothing I can’t handle!

Hello and welcome to Binky Bunny! Eevee and Mocha are very cute!

Make sure that they eat plenty of hay, and bunnies can start having some greens and veggies when they are 12 weeks old, but go slowly with that, to prevent any GI troubles.

If you haven’t already checked out the BUNNY INFO link at the top of the page, you should do so. It is very helpful and has info on all the basics of bunny care.

Since rabbits are often misidentified regarding their gender, make sure that you keep Eevee and Mocha apart to prevent any accidental litters. Even if they are both female, they shouldn’t be together until they have both been spayed and a few weeks have passed since their surgery. Unspayed rabbits can fight and injure each other.

              So. Cute! Welcome to Binkybunny~!

Rabbits are definitely more work than everyone bargains for. My present ends up running me over $300 per month in vet bills so far, haha……
Ask questions and post pics Both are loved and appreciated!
