  Hi all,
  
  After the great advice I got last time I thought I should turn to all you before making any big decisions.
  
  Yesterday my boyfriend bought a new bunny male home for us to bond with our female (4 months, we’ve had her since the end of May). I googled and spoke with the store owners about bonding the two and so far apart from what I am assured is her being naturaly dominant there has been no issues with the bonding. Once he was home and was running in the room we’ve given him I noticed his left back paw is slightly turned out and he puts little to no weight on it. I called the store straight away and they said yes they had noticed this and they have treated him already for this, obviously I was very upset not to have been told before he was bought home, however now we have him (and he has a name!) I am reluctant to return him because I’m worried he’ll be put down and he is a very loving rabbit so far. My inital thought now is to take him to the vets to be checked and find out what exactly is wrong, but I was thinking of letting him settle in at the house first and get used to the flooring and see him in action before this step. Should I wait a week or so or take him straight away?!

  I would take your bun to a rabbit savvy vet right away. Especially since the little guy isn’t putting weight on the leg. While the store says they have had it taken care of, it may have been looked at by a vet that isn’t rabbit savvy.
  
  Don’t forget. You don’t want to start bonding your buns or allow them to be in a cage together until both are fixed. You want to wait a month and half for your little ones to heal after the procedure before introductions. This way hormones have died down and it will make the bonding process smoother.

  I agree with Skippers Mama. It doesn’t sound like an emergency, but definitely something you want to call your vet about and get him in sometime next week.
  
  I also have to reiterate, the bunnies should not be allowed together until they are both spay/neutered.
