I tried again today.  I have to figure out how to adjust shutter speed it is slow.  This camera has so many adjustments that can be made. I wish I had the directions.

His Majesty would not be still half the time. And I had to fix his red eyes. Usually with this camera they come out blue like they supposed to.

Go to the camera manufacturer’s website and find the manual. Usually then can be downloaded.

Is it SLR? Or what? Generally SLR and digital SLR cameras all have the same method of changing shutter speed.

It is a Canon SD 500.    I tried downloading the stuff but it won’t download.  I tried turning off my firewall etc no go.  I emailed them and they said try to download under google or something.  Didn’t work.

It looks like you just need to change the mode (from indoor or whatever you have it on to kids&pets or something similar) because according to what I’ve read you can’t manually change the shutter speed. “Kids & Pets mode opts for a faster shutter speed to freeze quick motion.”

My mom has a similar camera and on hers, to get to that mode you spin the top dial. On yours, first make sure the camera is set on ‘auto mode’ instead of manual. Then make sure the flash is on automatic, the mode isn’t set for ‘night scenery’ or portrait or something, and you have bright lights.

BT, this was a bit tricky to find, but I got to the page on Canon’s site that is their download Library. They have listed several manuals if you scroll down just a bit. I might suggest you DL the Quick users guide first, but check them all out. They are probably a bunch of PDFs that will help out.

yes that is the site I used.   I am going to figure out my way into the firewall again and add that site in.  Maybe that will help it download.

If not I will fill out that little questionaire.  I did that b4 and got a response.  Still couldn’t get it to download tho. 

There has to be a way.

I tried the site you found.   Oh cool that is like what I was looking for.   Ahhh I could not find it on my own.  I feel so much happier now. I am going to have to study it so I can get things right again.

I spent an hour and a hafl going over the users manuel thats just what I needed.  I found pet mode too. I also printed it out saved it into my computer too.

Cotton needs me I gotta go.

What kind of buns are they? Are they lionheads?

Yes and Ruby’s paw will need to be kissed along with Cottons as you curtsey.   Teheee.

Yes they are both lionheads.  Cotton is a lionhead/dutch mix.   Ruby is full bred lionhead who has a extra lot of hair.  She is considered a teddy bear lionhead.
