  This is my first time posting in these forums – I hope I’m doing it right!
  
  I’ve never had a rabbit before, and my partner & I adopted our lovely little bunny Betty just over 2 months ago. We had to pop her into Bunny Boarding for a few days while we went away. She came back bouncy and as happy as ever, but with the sneezes! She was sneezing a bit and had thick white snot (apologies!). We took her to the vet straight away and were given Baytril for her. We’re going back to the vet tomorrow as she’s still sneezing a lot. We’re wiping her nose less and theres absolutely nothing else wrong with her as far as we can tell, but we’re still worried! We’ve done some research and have read about boosting her immune system. We’re desperate to try anything really, as money has suddenly become very tight so we wanted to know if there was anything we could try along with her antibiotics to help them be as effective as possible!

  Make sure that she doesn’t have any dusty bedding or hay. I don’t really think you can boost her immune system though.

  I don’t know that there is anything to boost a rabbit’s immune system either. Make sure that she is on a very healthy diet – unlimited hay, a variety of fresh greens and a small amount of pellets. Sometimes, an antibiotic can affect a rabbit’s GI system, so it’s often recommended that a probiotic, such as Bene-Bac Plus, be given along with the Baytril.

  I have mentioned before on some other threads that they are now using Vitamin E as one of the treatments for Floppy Bunny Syndrome, It boosts the immune system and promotes the absorbsion of selenium… Unless she was actually sick I would not go the actual vit E supplement but you can ensure that she is having a diet that includes foods high in vitamin E… Many quality pellets now have extra but you can also feed greens that are high in vit E to help.

  I have also heard that a little bit of Echinacea and Golden Root and Grapefruit Seed Extract can help boost a bunny’s immune system. Check out this article for more info.
