New bunny, yes another one

They got me again, i have a new rabbit. Today is my birthday and I went to pet supermarket to buy Briskey a bigger cage because I didnt liek the smaller one she was in, for my birthday it was very low key and me and my folks went food shopping and I mentioned lets shop and get her cage because she was looking a little sad in the smaller space.

 

We went in and swore, each of us that no more bunnies we looked, I petted them, we got the cage and left. But one I really liked got in my moms heart, we made it all the way back home when she reveals we have to go back and get him, she named him and everything and now we have 9 rabbits, i swear its like a drug for people like me and my family really low key homebodies these rabbits are so fun and we love to spoil them and its addictive.

 

It’s another boy and his name is Benson, I will get pics up very soon of him and Bugs my last new one who we’ve had nearly a month now, the camera eats batteries and its hard to get pics done but this weekend I want to spend a few hours capturing their new moments and sizes.

Happy birthday! And congrats on your new bunny! Though I do ask, if you do get more, please also consider adopting from a rescue. Every time you buy from a pet store you are supporting an essential rabbit mill, just opening up a space for a new rabbit to be sold for profit, while a shelter bunny may be put to sleep because there is no more space for another incoming rabbit. Also, many rescues adopt out already speutered rabbits, and that would certainly be helpful with all that you currently have! The $50-$100 adoption fee is a lot less than some of the quotes you have received for the operation!

I hope that doesn’t come across as harsh! You guys sound like great bunny owners, and that you really care about your crew.

So he’s technically your Moms? lol. Whew, you will be busy, luckily your mum is just as enthusiatic. This story is exactly they reason I cannot go into pet shops.

LOL thanks everyone, I have considered rescue but I can’t find one, I live in Ocala FL, and there is one in Orlando but on the website they dont have many for aboptation, maybe 3 at the time

The nice thign about the pet store close to me is that they host bunnies from the local rescue place for adoption. They switch out buns every now and then so other sthat they have can get some face time there. I keep wanting to bring em all home, poor things. The latest is only there cuz his owner passed away
