Hi everyone…. we just bought our first bunny, an 8 week old dwarf mix and named him Zoom.  He is black except for the tips of his toes, which are white.  He lives in a tri-level former ferret cage.  He eats alfalfa, rabbit food and sprouts.  So far, he is not a fan of lettuce.  He already uses a litter box for voiding but not excreting….. he also goes for walks on a leash.  One of my favorite things to do is get him out  in the morning and snuggle.  He does not stay still long, but having his little fluffy fur to pet is a great way to wake up.

          Welcome to BB!
Zoom is a fitting name for a young kit. It’s Ok for now if he doesn’t eat his lettuce, the main thing you want to get him hooked on is hay.

Be careful about using a harness on him at that age. Young rabbits can spook without warning and tangle and injure themselves. I would hold off with getting him used to a harness till after his neuter when he will be much calmer.

ZOOM!!!! I love it! Bunnies sure are known to do that

Hehe, some bunnies are quite picky. I agree with getting him attached to hay. It is totally essential to a rabbit’s diet, as they not only fill up on it, it helps push things through the rabbits’ delicate digestive system.

My rabbit doesn’t like carrots, so its cool

Since he is a boy, his poops might get stinky during puberty! It’ll stop once he is neutered!

            Welcome!!

Welcome, and grats on the new fur baby!
I had two rabbtis that would not eat carrot tops or parsley, it was very odd.
