Hello everyone! UK based bunny mummy here. It’s my first time having pet bunnies and this forum has been an absolutely fantastic source of information! I adopted Woolly and Chewie last week via a local paper as their previous owner couldn’t look after them any more. They were previously outdoor bunnies but have adapted beautifully to being indoor bunnies in my bunny-proof bedroom (I eventually plan to let them be free-range buns while I’m at home).
Woolly is a lionhead and Chewie is a minilop, both 3 years old. Their previous owner said Woolly was a girl and Chewie was a boy, but a trip to the vet yesterday actually semi-confirmed the reverse was true; Woolly is the boy while Chewie is the girl! However, I was told it was difficult to be 100% accurate given that they’re both neutered.
Although they were outdoor bunnies and (as far as I know) not litter trained, they’ve been doing superbly using their litter boxes since moving in. Woolly is definitely the more calm, relaxed bun while Chewie is much more energetic (and the bigger chewer of the pair!) and the dominant bun.
I absolutely adore them and they’ve settled in wonderfully. I’ve had a couple of bunny kisses already, Woolly has binky-ed and Chewie does a lot of bunny flops!
Looking forward to our upcoming adventures together.
P.S sorry for the small photos, I couldn’t seem to attach the regular-size ones as they exceeded 500 kb
