  I’ve been promising to post new Baxter pics to show how big he is getting. I just had him weighed today and he is 8.7 lbs so far and still growing fast Here he is!

  How did you manage to measure him? Mine would have either run off or started eating the end of the yard stick!

  I put some carrots down for distraction. lol Other than that he is extremely tame He holds still and lets me do whatever with him unless he sees the nail clippers or the pet carrier. Thanks, he is a big handsome boy

  My Hubby wants a 20lbs type rabbit, he’s always playing with the Flemies at the shelter, if we had the room we’d totally get one.

  I used a little saw and then sanded the edges. It works great for a diggy box! Also, It can be washed and unlike cardboard it doesn’t collapse when he tries to hop on top of it

  I LOVE big bunnies! I always wanted a Flemish giant but couldn’t find one around here. Baxter will only get up to 12 lbs but I couldn’t imagine him any bigger! I couldn’t imagine having a full grown flemmie hopping around my house. he he it would be cool though I love how he is not at all skiddish. My kids can scream through the house and instead of hiding he will go see what’s going on. lol

  i saw the photo and i lost my breath! HE IS HUGE! i was thinking a little bigger but he is huge! wow!

  I called the Vet today and got an appointment to have his nails trimmed and a weight check on him. The Tech was like “yeah no problem at all I can do that for you” lol The look on her face when I brought him in was priceless! She didn’t know what to say! The receptionist was laughing! I think that tech may have been new and was expecting a small cuddly bunny. lol

  Thanks everyone He is my handsome baby boy I don’t know how he got his markings. New Zealands are generally solid color but he is red and white mix. I love it. His entire tummy is bright white.

  New Zealands weigh anywhere from 9-12 lbs. And he is very snuggly He is a big ol’ baby

  Thanks Petzy He looks silky but his fur is very thick and coarse. He still has some soft baby fur around his neck.

  I get that too! Lucy is 9 pounds now. She HATES her carrier, and since the vet is a stone’s throw away, I harness her, leash her, and put her in the passenger seat. The reaction is always priceless!
  
  ps. when I say a stone’s throw, I mean literally less than a mile. Any farther than that, and she’s in the carrier, stink eye or not lol

  he’s huge! lol he’s as long as my border collie is tall :p he’s so pretty though, I love big bunny’s, I dont know how I ended up wuth 2 tiny guys when I was looking for a giant lol
