Neutering Prices in Austin?

I picked up a released rabbit recently, and just realized he is not neutered. I’ve always had rabbits come to me that are already fixed. 

This is not my rabbit, but I feel like the responsible thing is to get him neutered. I just don’t know how much that costs in this area. I’ve had a bad experience with vets charging me a lot and finding out later I could have gotten the medicine or exam done for a lot cheaper. 

What are people’s experiences? I’d assume that males are cheaper than females.

There may be some low cost spay neuter clinics in your area. Unfortunately, most of these clinics only take dogs and cats, but there could be some that include rabbits. Either do a search on clinics near you, or call your local humane society to see if they know of any places that take rabbits, making sure that they see a lot of rabbits and are rabbit savvy. Here is a list that I found of Texas rabbit rescues, although some of these listings just seem to be general animals, not rabbits. Maybe some of these rescues would know of low or lower cost spay neuter clinics for rabbits.
