        Hello!!!

My Bunyoncé was neutered a month ago, on March 16th.  He is acting completely fine, eating, playing and going the bathroom.  I check underneath him frequently to check his incision and to make sure he is clean underneath him.  Today I was checking him and where his testis used to be are still bruised. Is this normal? There is no redness, puss, etc. For some reason the forum won’t allow to attach pictures.

Thank you so much for any input!

They shouldn’t still be bruised a month after. I think it would be worth checking with your vet, perhaps just over the phone.

Photos can’t be uploaded from phones, and when using a computer you have to upload the file, and then insert it into the post, oh and it has to be under a certain size – it’s a bit long winded!

As long as there is no blood or puss, bruising and swelling can be common in the first week or two Just check the site two or three times a day, and call up the vet if you see it causing him pain or if he starts grooming the wound site frequently.
