So, both my buns were fixed when they were younger, so, its been a long time xD (plus my father did a lot of the care)
I’m helping a friend out with her little bunny boy who is getting neutered, and, I sorta forgot….everything lol, so hopefully you guys can help :3

soooo stuff we both need help with (if you have trusted websites, you can put those too lol)
-feeding. Should she continue with regular diet?
        – I remember buns aren’t supposed to jump around and what not for a while. How long should he be kept in areas he cant jump or run like crazy?
        – pain management. Her bun, of what ive seen, is really sensitive. What can we do to help with any pain or discomfort?
-Things to watch for? signs of infection?
        -Anything else useful lol

Most boy bunnies do well after a neuter.

He should eat up until an hour before surgery, bunnies shouldn’t have empty tummies for surgery but they shouldn’t have food in the mouth/ esophageal tract when they are put under.

Your friend should get him a variety of favorite foods to offer after surgery, it’s important that he starts eating (and pooping). He might like leafy greens, fragrant herbs, (small piece of) apple – she probably knows what he likes best. If he hasn’t eaten anything 10-12 hours post surgery, he will need to be force fed CC or a pellet-mash. This rarely happens with boys.

The vet should give him a painkiller and maybe send a couple of doses home with him unless it’s a long-lasting painkiller. To make him comfy you can offer a warm water bottle wrapped in a towel, but make sure he has space to move away from it if he doesn’t want it.

Give water in a bowl, it’s less work for him than drinking from a bottle.

Check incision site/s twice daily, look for (excess) redness, swelling, discharge. There should be no discharge. Keep an eye on him so he doesn’t chew at the incision site/s (he most likely won’t get external stitches).

As for jumping and running and binkying etc I’d say 2-3 days or so. But it’s good if he can move around some when he feels up to it, it helps the intestines move.

And safe neuter (((((vibes)))))) for him =)
