So ever since I got my first bunny, Bumbles, in the fall, he’s been very jumpy and nervous. I was told to hold him, so he would get used to me, but early on read that bunnies dislike being held, and that explained why he would run whenever I tried to hold him. I had only held him three or four times, and he had fallen asleep while I was holding him a few of those times, but eventually I just stopped, because he seemed not to enjoy it very much. I started letting him come to me instead, and he seemed to be happier. He likes when I lay on the floor, he licks my face and enjoys “piggy back rides” but to this day he doesn’t like being pet or touched very much at all. Not even a little. He runs if I go near him, and only approaches me when he wants to. He’ll jump on my lap, or stomach if I’m sitting or laying down, but if I so much as move my hand towards him, he’ll jump off. I have an appointment set for him to be fixed in March, and read that he may be a bit more social and calm after… Don’t worry, he’s a very happy, healthy bunny, binkying all the time and running around, but do you think having him fixed may help him be a bit more sociable?
Thanks
