my darling pebbles is very ill. I had no idea she was pregnant it was a accidental litter. I know im not allowed to talk about this but i need someones help. I was trying to search on the internet for answers but i need to ask someone. I cant get a hold of the vet….Pebbles had a litter today and they all sadly passed away- there was 4. That was this morning. Then  i got home from the shops and i looked up on the internet. She might have vitamin a defficency but im not so sure. I fed her Carrots and Lettuce to help her. But she was leaning against my top i put her back she seemed fine. She is running around now and i looked down at my top and there is blood smears on it.. what do i do?? I cant afford the vet as i am only 13..

          oh my.

the blood could be leftover from her giving birth.. I’m not very sure though, I don’t know too much about rabbit births. but that would be my best guess.

can your parents help you out? maybe you could compromise and do some chores or tasks that they need, so that you’re working for the money. I would definitely take her to the vet, to make sure everything is okay. good luck!

I would go to your parents immediately and get your bunny to the vet. I’m so sorry you’re going through this, honey. This is a lot of responsibility for a girl your age.

Lots of bunnies go through unsuccessful litters and come out totally fine. Pebbles just needs the right care now, which means a qualified vet. Talk to your parents or relatives you’re close to and try to get them to help.

After that, the main thing is to keep Pebbles and any other animals you have from getting pregnant again. If spaying and neutering is out of the question, then we’ve got to figure out a way to keep the males separate from the females. Breeding pets at home is very dangerous and brings too many homeless animals into the world, while there are shelters and humane societies all over the country filled with animals who have no homes. That’s why the subject is banned on these forums.

Do you have any updates? How’s Pebbles doing now?

Unfortunately there is really no help that you will be able to use over the internet- it just really is not possible to tell what went wrong with her pregnancy over the internet and to determine if she has any medical conditions as a result of the pregnancy or before the pregnancy.  I would keep calling her vet until you can reach them to talk to them!!!

Have you been able to correct the situation so she can’t get pregnant again?  You obviously realize the health risks due to pregnancy and birth- do you think your parents will be supportive in your efforts to keep her from getting pregnant and hopefully reduce the resulting vet bills???
