Need advice

I now have my own apartment.  Nice little place.  Hubby is now home in his/our apt.  We are just across the tiny dead end street from each other. 

Cotton n I have a routine down these past 2 months.  We are comfy with it.  

I went to stay a few days w hubby.  I set up Cottons spare cage just like his regular cage.  Put a box phone book.  Litterbox n cage n same place.  

Well Cotton peed in the cage n in his food bowl rendering his food unedible.  He also went off his food.  After 3 days we went back to my place.  

He peed in box  like he is supposed too.  Yet he still peed in his food dish.  Rendering the food unedible for 2 days. 

I dont’ know what to do.  Do I leave him at my place and spend half the day with him and half the evenings with him and when I go to bed put him to bed as usual and go to hubbys sometimes and come home early morning spending time with Cotton like we have been during our routine?  And hanging with hubby in afternoon when Cotton is napping?  Plus I enjoy my times at my place every day n at certain times at my place everyday when I go back n forth. I go to bed around 11:00 pm but I hate leaving Cotton alone til 7 am a few nights a week. 

Or do I take him with me to hubbys for a few days and come back with him to my place for few hours or days?  

I hate stressing him because his hair will fall out and not grow back due to his endoctrine disorder the vet said no cure due to not knowing a rabbits proper hormone levels at this time.  

Cotton seemed happy to be back at hubbys.  Seems happy to be back into our routine here too.  

Any advice.  I know rabbits hate change and he just got used to the new place.   so confusing for me to know what Cotton wants most.  I wish he could talk.  I guess he is talking thru his behavior  

Oh hubby coming here noooo place too small n his legs are too weak his stuff he needs is there easier for me to go there n back n forth.  With all these Dr. appmts.  We dont have time for visiting most days

From what I recall, Cotton has always been sensitive to change. Bunnies like routines in general. But I remember Cotton having issues when you moved to your mother’s. He was probably getting used to this most recent routine you had going and now things have changed again. I would try to keep his routine as best as you can. So that might mean having to leave him at your place and going to spend time with him before he goes to bed.

Well true.  I have enjoyed our routine and seems like Cotton has too.  I get up he comes for pettings  I eat he eats.  He goes about his business chewing n having fun. Then settles in for a nap all day. 

I go can go see hubby then.  Come home in afternoon.  Cotton comes for pettings at about 7 pm.  I come here earlier.  Take care of Boo and myself.  Pet him.  HE goes about his chewing.  Comes back n forth for pettings.  

At 11 pm IF I go to hubbys for the night I go then.  Then come home early for Boo and myself too. 

Yes.  He didn’t pee in his food last night and ate it all.  

Ok LBJ I think you are right.  He does hate change.  He is really about 8 years now.  Maybe 7.  He needs routine.  I like routine too. 

Thank you LBJ.  It helps to have someone else help see things and put it  in perspective.  I appreciate that. It isnt’ always easy
