Yes, you read that right. It’s been 6 months. I have been worried sick about her. I’ve been terrified that she’d never come out of it. Terrified that she’d make herself sick (and since I’m like 99% certain she has latent EC since Link had it, that could be disastrous – we need to save that for her senior years, not when she’s not even two yet).

For 6 months, she’s wanted nothing to do with physcial activity or me.

In the past month, I’d been noticing she wasn’t running away from me when I went to feed her. And then, about 2 weeks ago, she started letting me get a pet or two in. Then today, I went to feed/water her by opening the top level to her cage and she’s sticking her head out, looking around. I go to empty her litterbox on the bottom level, and as I reach for her box, she leaped into my arms.

I cried. So hard. She wants attention now! She wants human interaction! She wants to explore again and not just sit in her cage looking lonely!

I can’t even describe how I feel right now. I’m so happy and excited because she’s being so active, but anxious and a little angry that this didn’t happen sooner.

I’m glad she is opening up to you again. It’s hard to see them so sad!

Awhhhhh! That must have been such a difficult time for you, and Navi. You were both grieving. That is so incredibly sweet that she jumped into your arms.

I’m with longhairmike on this one, I still cry sometimes when I think about Tigger or look at pictures of him.

I’m so glad to hear that. It must have been unbearable seeing her sad and withdrawn like that.
