Hello Everyone!
So Nate is FINALLY getting neutered tomorrow! For those of you who don’t know him or don’t remember him. He is the 3 yr old, white lop mix, that I took in 7 months ago (can’t believe it’s been that long!). He was abandoned at my clinic with raging Pasteurella and Bordetella infections. We treated him for 2 weeks at the clinic and he just kept getting worse and worse. He was about to be euthanized, but he has such a wonderful personality that I decided to take him home and see what I could do in a home environment. To make a long story short, 4 months later he finally started eating properly and I got him off his antibiotics. He will have some nasal discharge and sneezing for the rest of his life because his nasal passages are so damaged from his old family not treating for so long.
So, I finally booked him in to be neutered, but I’m sooo nervous! I totally trust the vet that is going to do the surgery, but he is such an extra anaesthetic risk from the respiratory infections. And of course I work at my other job every monday-friday so if the worst does happen I’m going to be stuck at work with people that so do not understand.
I would just really appreciate some good vibes to help him through!
And hopefully everything goes great and he ends up like Tait did post surgery, back to being a crazy pants and full of attitude within 30 mins of waking up.
