Hello! I am a new mommy to a 11 week old Holland Lop named Napoleon.

        Rabbit Info:

        1. Name: Napoleon (or Napple for short)
        2. Age: 11 weeks.
        3. I’ve had Napoleon for about 15 days.
        4. I plan on Neutering him around 5 months – I hear it’s easier to litter train them at that point.
        5. So far, poor little Napple has been fairly skittish. I’m sure he’s pretty scared with his new surroundings, but i’ve taken a crash course in bunny talk, and he seems to be getting more used to his surroundings.
        6. My profile pic is my cutest photo so far!

        Me:

        1. I’m new to rabbits – Napple is my first since childhood (where they didn’t play a big role).
        2. Well, i’m technically not allowed pets in my apartment, but I really wanted a furry companion, so we opted for a bunny. To be honest, I would have loved a puppy, but I plan on learning all about bunnies and giving all my love and attention to Napple.
        3. Hmm, my interests range from nail art, to writing, to watching Mystery Diagnosis, and all over. I have a lot of hobbies and interests!

I’m hoping to get a bigger pen for my bunny soon – he’s growing so fast! I have him in a cage right now – which I don’t really like. I’m hoping to let him grow into a social, affectionate bunny – and witness his first binky!

          Hi and welcome!

You can begin with the litter training! The sooner, the better! Just get a cat sized litter box (without top) and fill with rabbit safe litter (no pine or aspen shavings!)

          more pics please

Chacha means no pine or cedar, aspen is fine

Welcome to you and your bunny! Holland lops are adorable, I have one about the same age as yours Too cute!

Welcome!! He’s adorable! Rabbits are great apartment pets, but be sure not to expect your damage deposit back in full From your interests-can I guess you like ‘House MD’? (Or am I just trying to find someone else obsessed with House lol ?)

I think I speak for us all in saying “MORE pictures PLEZZZZ!”

                      hi,

he looks very adorable, but I’d love to see the picture big.

You should look through the toys and habitat subforum for pen ideas. Most of us make our own, b/c most of the cages sold for rabbits are too small and very expensive.

Hey all! Thanks so much for the compliments! Napoleon is a very cute and shy bunny (though we’re working on being friends!). He loves his towel (yes, i’m making sure he isn’t ingesting the fibers he pulls) and loves to explore! I recently moved him out of his cage into a pen, so now he’s got lots of room to play and run. My next task is building him a nice condo where he can jump around.

Right now, i’ve successfully done some clicker training (basic click = treat) and we’ll be working on recognizing his name next. Bunnies are so much fun! He’s ALMOST litter box trained (we have accidents here and there, mostly when i’m asleep) but they’re close to the box, so i’m assuming he’s just dragging the pellets out. More elimination in the box than out, so something is working! Anyway, as some of you wanted, there are more pics of him in my photos (assuming I uploaded them right) that I took a couple weeks ago.

                          Thanks for the warm welcome!

Oh, Napple! Such a cute bunbun! <3
I wish I had more room to let my bunnies not be cage dwellers, I really dislike them being in cages. But as of right now I don’t have much room, and since they are not bonded (or fixed) I cannot have them in the same place without separation, so the big huge xpen and no cage thing wouldn’t work for me. I’m hoping one day.

Napple looks so cute in his xpen with all his toys and igloo. He’s such a handsome buck!

The xpen takes up roughly about 1/8 of our living room, so it’s kinda big, but my bun was getting too big for his cage, so I didn’t have much of an option! It’s so worth it when you see that binky run around I hope you find a way to get your cuties out of their cages!
