my boyfriend got a lionhead bunny today. i am gonna see him tomorrow.we havent named him though.

i wanted to name him Powder but boyfriend killed it for me when he asked “like gun powder?!” He wanted to name him Alex from the lion in Madagascar.too generic though..

need help here.

If it was me… I would pick an ethnic name and start looking at cute african names. That’s kinda how I picked Franz’s name! I knew I wanted it to be german because my father had two house bunnies 30 years ago and one was HossenPfeffer (rabbit stew) and the other one BonBon. So I started thinking of german people that I liked and I read a lot of Franz Kafka last year for my german lit class and my b/f and I liked the name! Also look at Indian lion names at their zoos maybe. I’m not too creative I guess lol but it sure feels that way when it’s picked.

I must be boring am afraid my baby lionheads called Babsy. She started off as Bobsy but I THINK she’s a she lol! All the fluff makes it a bit hard to tell, I’m afraid her bits are rather like the interior of the rainforest- FLUUUUUUFFFFYYY!!!!!! to the max lol you never know she might have to go back to Bobsy hahaha

Babs looks so adorable!our lionhead is black too.

we never had a black bunny or a fluffy one either so this will be quite a new challenge for us.LOL.they said the bunny is a he but im gonna go ahead and ask my vet just to make sure.

 That photo was only 2 weeks ago and I’m amazed how much she’s changed! The fluff is about a million times longer and thicker and her mane is really starting to come in! She looks about 3 times the size she really is !!!

Coco and Jackson came pre-named.

Our cat was named Loki – We like to have literary/myth names. We liked Loki (norse God) after running through all the greek and roman names and not hitting anything we “loved”. I also frequently have used last names of authors. Our first cat was Keillor, after Garrison Keillor…and I would consider Gaiman ( for Neil). We also kicked around naming the cat “Bod” for the character in the Graveyard Book.

I think you’ll know when you find the right name.

I like the name Ninja! He is adorable, and as a black puffball that’s a perfect name. If you pick that I’m sure he’ll end up being called Ninja-Bun. I’m sure he’ll act like one too!

he’s so adorable my boyfriend’s so inlove with him.LOL! his color is confusing because its black with a brown tint.i dont know if he’s black or chocolate.you can even barely tell that he’s an otter cuz of all the fluffiness.

He is adorable! He reminds me so much of my boy Fuzzy when he was a baby. With that in mind I would like to suggest the name FUZZY. I discussed this at great length with my Fuzzy and he said it would be okay for your boyfriend to use it because it is the best name for such a cute little fuzzy boy. That is if you guys still are looking for a name.

Perhaps Ninja’s parents were a chocolate and black type. He looks black with no flash but brown with flash. Chacha is a black otter and remains black with camera flash

Moz rescued baby bunnies if u recall – white with black spots. Most with brown eyes, one red eyes. And even a random black otter. From the same litter LOL

 My Babs is a blue otter but her back has that brown tinge to it also you can’t tell either that shes an otter because of the fluff which I’m sure grows at double speed when I’m not looking! She’s starting to look like an explosion in a pillow factory!!!!

2 friends of mine have lionhead bunnies. one has double mane, the other has a single. one has a brave personality, one likes to grunt.

I can tell a rabbit is an otter by the nose color and tan coloring. It is always very distinct I’m sure you will see more of the otter coloring after a big shed Keep those brushes handy and fingers pluckin!!

Plucking and grooming is a hard job! Not fun when bunny decides to thump

i just plucked and brushed Chace and he’s not happy with it.he’s shedding heavily right now.he thumped at me so much i just had to stop.i gave him his banana treat so all is forgiven.

 She’s nearly 3 months now. I’ve just finished her morning brush she doesn’t seem to be shedding a huge amount just growing more! lol Ive recently started brushing AND  combing luckily she just sits there and lets me apart from her chest then she grabs the comb and FLINGS it as far as she can!! And then has a temper dig and settles back down. I can manage to do her front from either side she is NOT going to beat me!!!
