My bunny was given sub-q fluids today (and pain medicine for a spay she didn’t end up getting, see my other post…), and after I brought her home, I noticed that she has a lump under her belly.  This is new and I’m worried.  Could it just be fluid gathering?  It feels very soft, and it didn’t seem to hurt her when I touched it, but she hates having her belly touched so it’s hard to tell.

She has a bit of a dewlap, which you can see here, but the extra lump on her belly is new.  She is thin (if anything, I want her to gain weight, not lose it).  I’ve only seen this once before:  when she was sedated and had x-rays.  Will this go away again?

I’m going to have to take her to the vet for other reasons, but does anyone know if this is bad?

I think it’s fluids gathering. It should still be absorbed. Here’s an old thread about this phenomenon: https://binkybunny.com/FORUM/tabid/54/aft/114194/Default.aspx

Ok, that makes sense! She still has a lump today but it’s smaller and she’s acting normally.
