  I recently got two adorable Netherlands dwarfs and boy are they cute! They are both black and from the same litter, I can’t find any physical differences. I was wondering if there is a short term solution until i can learn their personalities. HELP

  With puppy dogs, breeders often use nail lacquer to mark who’s who. You could try that. Between the shoulderblades is the area where it’s most difficult for a bun to groom itself -but the other bun could of course groom her and they can be very efficient.
  
  A simple method would be to cut a chunk of hair somewhere off of one of the buns. Because they don’t have continuous hair growth like humans, she’d not get new hair there until she molts and start a new coat. It wouldn’t hurt the bun. Collars and ribbons etc can’t be used because of the risk of the bun getting hurt.

  A more permanent solution – You could ask the vet to mark one of their ears when they are spayed.

  I’ll have to think about doing that myself. Two of the bunnies I’m considering adopting are fraternal REW twins (brother and sister) and they’re impossible to tell apart at first glance. I will need to ask the rabbit rescue if they’re already ear-tattooed/marked or if they can do it, if not.
