My rabbit stopped peeing for two days. The vet took X-ray didn’t find any blockage or enlarged bladder. I gave her fluid injection and it stays under her skin. Sounds like her kidney won’t produce urine. The blood test for kidney was elevated. I’m taking her to doctor tomorrow. Not sure what’s going on. Anyone have any ideas? Maybe kidney failure or stone? I may need a good vet in Orange County.

Wow. Did you see her drinking at all during that time? Does she eat greens?

Could she have been peeing somewhere else?

You may not see her pee much of the subQ fluids she received, if she’d become dehydrated. It may all be absorbed by her tissues.

Did the vet check her mouth?
One of the forum leaders here had a rabbit who needed daily sub q fluids as he wasn’t able to drink properly after surgery in his tongue.

            Maybe kidney failure or stone?

A stone most likely would have shown up in an X-ray. Acute renal failure can lead to lack of urine, yes. If that is the case, she may need fluids given intravenously.

Lack of blood flow to the kidneys may affect their ability to produce urine.

Her blood test show kidney failure. She is not peeing for sure. Is there kidney dialysis doctor in US? The doctor said that will be the last resort. Her kidney is not producing urine. Hope the diagnosis is wrong.

We gave her water injection. She is not dehydrated. They’re giving her iv today.

I don’t know about dialysis for rabbits. You could make some inquiries here:
