He has been blessed with the worst rabbit teeth I think. He has been going in every 5 weeks for his dental trims and while I thought he seemed like he was fine, the vet said that they aren’t any better or any worse than usual. She said she is always hopeful for better, but that doesn’t seem like it will be the case.
Today she said that during his trim once of his teeth cracked (which she said is pretty common for his teeth and she’s dealt with this on him before) but today it cracked up to his pulp…so he will be on antibiotics in case of infection and she said his teeth could be more sensitiive than usual these next couple of days.
I told her that I was surprised his teeth were the usual bad only because he’s been eating well and he’s been in good spirits – he has had his normal poopy butt problems which is a sign of dental problems, but he seemed in good spirits. We both supposed he is just getting more tolerate of the pain, which is pretty sad. I’m glad I didn’t wait longer thinking his teeth were okay.
I did get some of the new fine grind critical care from the guinea pig rescue though – they don’t seem to carry the fine grind at the vets. My friend who runs the rescue says she feels that this type is much more palatable for the sore mouths because the consistency is more like baby food.
So please send vibes once again to my Pepe rabbit that he’ll be bouncing back from this dental trim as quickly as he usually does.
Oh no! What a bad dental visit~ A cracked tooth now right at the pulp… ouch! I hope it grows back fast!
Toofy vibes for Pepe! His poor little mouth! I hope he is back to his normal self soon!![]()
Ouch – poor Pepe!
(((((((((((((((lots of toofy vibes for Pepe)))))))))))))))
oh no, Poor Pepe! Lots of healing vibes for his poor mouth.
Aww, poor thing. I hope his mouth is better soon!
All my fondest wishes for Pepe to feel better soon! Ugh…teeth are just the worst, no matter the species! >.<
Hugs for Pepe and you! (((((((((hugs)))))))))))))))
((((bunny vibes for his teefs!))))
(((((((((pepe))))))))) poor dude! i cringed when i read what happened. i hope the fine grind critical care keeps him in good spirits
Aww, poor bun! I hope he’s feeling better soon.
I think my Pepe bun is on the mend. He’s still looking drugged out with all the meds but he seems to be eating his greens and his cranberries and some of his pellets look like they are being eaten.
Thank you for the vibes for my Pepe. I try not to stress about his dental filings but it seems like something always happens. My biggest worry is that all of this is shortening his life – I’m certain it is, but there isn’t much choice other than to do this regularly.
So glad to read he’s doing better. I saw this and read it all at once. Got scared from your subject line, but it looks like the toofy vibes are helping.
I hate tooth problems – he is a brave boy to be going through all this treatment.

Pepe sounds like a strong and resilient rabbit, he may live longer than you think, plus, he gets spoiled by the sounds of it too being free-range and all. I wish him a speedy recovery! Did you get him some dill this time again?
ack! I panicked when I saw the post, too. I’m so glad he’s feeling better. I’ve had bad teeth all my life so I really, really feel for him. Sending more vibes, Pepe!
Oh Pepe… Maybe you are better off having him filed sooner rather than later when it starts affecting his eating.
(((Healing vibes!)))
OUCH!!! Poor Pepe!!! {{{{Healing Vibes}}}}
I thought he was doing better, but today, I’m not so sure yet. He was nibbling on his greens but not much so today more metacam and I’ll see what he’s like when I get home. May take him tomorrow for fluids and handfeeding at the vets. I’m just used to him eating his pellets by the 3rd day.
Oh no, poor Pepe. Get better for your mommy.
Oh dear! Please Pepe…feel better and eat your foods like a good boy, hm? You can do it!
(((((((((((((((((((((love & hugs & vibes for Pepe))))))))))))))))))))))))))
Sending healing vibes for Pepe’s oral health and overall health that he nourishes himself and heals from all he’s been through. Be well, Pepe!
((((((Pepe)))))) Hope he feels better soon and stops having so many dental problems.
