So it’s 2:00 a.m. right now. I’ve been up doing homework all night. I always say goodnight to Wilbur and Totoro before I go to bed, I couldn’t find Wilbur anywhere! Finally I heard some sounds coming from the closet. Looked around, still no Wilbur. I opened up the cardboard box that has the hay in it and there she was! I haven’t touched that box of hay all day (I keep hay in bin for quick access) and somehow she had managed to get herself fully closed in. What I think happened is she was standing on the box and the middle sunk in (the flaps that fold over don’t reach other so there’s a small gap in the center), and the flaps popped back up. Poor baby She peed in the box so she must have been there for a while. I scooped her up and she snuggled into me, she must have been so scared! What if I hadn’t found her? What if she had gotton stuck in the plastic??? I should not have overlooked that hay box.

What matters is you DID find her, she’s all right, she snuggled into you…ALL IS WELL. I can understand, though, that must have been quite a scare for you! I would have the same thoughts. Bunnies are always getting into someplace they shouldn’t. Even though bunnies should have hay – but not in the hay box where they can get closed in! Her guardian angel was watching over her and led you to her. Take a deep breath, hug her, and Sleep well, both of you!

Haha I was so tired last night. Now I feel bad but I can’t help but laugh a little.
