hi guys, so after FOUR years of researching and wanting a pet rabbit i finally got one! i adopted him from a rescue on martin luther king day. so maybe… 4-5 days ago? i cant remember exactly. right now his cage is a XL dog crate but he gets lots of free time in my room (he is supervised by me 24/7, when hes out) i ordered an xpen online and it should come on wednesday or tuesday! so if the weather is nice i can take him out (his foster mom said that he loves to dig and loves to be outside!) and plus i can use the xpen as a “fence” to block off the restricted area in my room!
its funny how my want for a pet rabbit started….. it was during the summer before i went to middle school and my mom and i were at quiktrip and we went in to pay for the gas (usually i would have stayed in the car but i went) and as i was walking through the doors a girl my age was carrying an orange lop rabbit in her arms! ever since then i’ve always wanted a rabbit; preferablely with lop ears
he is a male mini lop; around 5-6 months old! i still dont have a name for him! i was thinking of paisley or presley but now that name seems ick haha. his original name was penelope but then they figured out that he was a boy so they changed it to pippin, and eh… that name seems sort of off lol… not sure what his new name will be!

How are your allergies holding up? Is he the little love with the teeth issues? Hows the hay thing? I had an idea the other day because I started to keep hay in my room for Samson who hangs out there all day, and I put it in one large box upside down with a small window and a decent sized hole and then I pushed another box with 2 holes cut in it up against that to make like, a tunnel to the hay. Its kept it contained and kept the dust contained so I haven’t had any normal allergy issues with it

no allergies whatsoever! but then again ive only had him for…. since monday
. i got some orchard grass today from petsmart and i did sneeze a bit so i might give him orchard grass occasionally and he’ll just have to stick with bermuda hay /:
and nah hes the other rabbit without the teeth problem! oh and thats smart! i’ll try that next time

I love how lops like that are a little fluffier, Wilbur is like that too.
