I switched from Clarinet to horn at the end of my freshmen year of highschool, and then sophmore year my parents got me a new horn – my Conn 9D. It’s been a great horn, and is very special to me. I’ve kept it in superb condition. It’s color is called Rose Brass and Silver. I can’t believe it’s 8 years old now – well almost. All the laquer is 100% intact and shiney and it’s just like new. Here is my old horn. I am pretty sure that I am not going to sell it though.

Conn again with Leia. She really howls when I play and she gets all nervous when I take the horn out as you can see here.

Here is my new baby, my Ricco Kuhn in all it’s glory. Most professional model horns do not have laquer so it doesn’t look new and it isn’t appealing to the eye but once you play it thatdoesn’t matter. Taking the laquer off makes your tone warmer and gives you a darker sound as well.

Fishy approves!

This solo is for you Mimz and Les lol.
