My new adventure!

I am working on opening an online childrens boutique I’ve been making a ton of things to sell. I’ve made the cutest tutu’s, I’m working on a dress I designed. That one is trial and error lol. I’ve made some play food. I am planning on selling baby blankets, bottle covers, burp cloths, clothing, bibs, shoes, bedding, paintings, room decor, kids dress up clothes, puppets, games, and pretend play things. I am so excited…and busy! This is something I have wanted to do since I was 16. My Husband is fully supporting it and my Mother in law will watch my little ones when I need her too! I also want to go to craft shows. There is a really big one here at the end of September. I am going to make little cards with my URL on it to pass out at the craft show. Oh, and my Mom is going to drive here to sell some of her things in the craft show and to be there for moral support. She lives 6 hours away. I am so excited and wanted to share.

Awesome! I would love to open an online craft boutique someday. I do embroidery and I’ve recently started making heirloom style teddy bears. You should post some pics of your work.

That sounds so neat. You should do that on etsy. I wish I could do embroidery! I will give you a link to my shop when I get it set up. There will be lots of pics on there. I had a million ideas going through my head at once and I was trying to get supplies for them at the craft store. I was so overwhelmed with ideas that I only bought most of the supplies for each project lol. My husband told me to make a project book so I can organize my thoughts. I did last night and it works wonderfully! I can’t stick to one thing though. I get bored easily. lol That is why I am making everything under the sun for kids. lol I did decide that instead of being a plain jane childrens boutique I want to make things more for the creativity of a child…games, pretend things, play food, dress up ect…. Then, for my boutique ideas, I will have a smaller section of my shop for the “boutique”. I can make whatever I want whenever I want there. If I get too overwhelmed with things, I can sell the patterns instead. I need something I can do at home because I still have 2 little ones at home and my 5 year old will only be in school for a 1/2 day. I am hoping to have this well established by the time my kids are all in school full time. I haven’t seen anything like the teddy bear you described….you should try that.

That is awesome! I was into that for a short period of time until I realized that I am not really that creative in that sense. I did collect quite of bit of those swarovsky crystals though. I want to make my little girl some cute jewelry but I can’t ever find charms that I like.
