my bunny isn’t moving around

Hello all!  I’ve had my wee bunny for about 2 months now, shes about a year and a half old.  We got her from a family that had several other pets,  including dogs,  other bunnies,  weasels,  mice,  rats,  etc.  We originally got her for my god daughter,  but she was allergic to her,  so i brought her in my room where she’s been content ever since. 

Now onto my concern, i just changed my bunnies litter and “pooh pan” and put in this new stuff that was recommended to me by one of the PetSmart employees, but she hasn’t tried to explore like she normally does when I’ve changed it before.  She just sits on her “pooh pan” rapidly sniffing the air,  she’s been doing this for 3 hours almost.  So i figured I’d let her out of her cage and let her roam around on my bed,  see if that’d calm her down,  but it didn’t.  She won’t go inside her little cave thing,  she won’t drink,  she won’t eat,  not even her favorite treats will budge her. When i put her back in the cage after i thought she had called down, she started freaking out. She would kick the new litter, almost like a dog trying to kick off snow built up between their paws, then jump straight onto her pooh pan and just sit there. Why is my bunny acting like this? I’m worried i pissed her off or worse, hurt her.

This is her still just sitting there. You can see her alfalfa cubes, apple word sticks, chew for her teeth, and the new litter. And below is a picture of the bag of new litter

Update: my bunny,  Penny, is doing well. We changed her litter back to the fluffy white stuff lol. She’s much more relaxed and is eating and drinking normally.  Thank you all for the advice,  muchly appreciated

What litter did you use previously? Rabbits have very sensitive respiratory systems, so my guess is that this new scented litter irritates your bunny’s nose. I think the best thing to do would be to change the litter back to whatever you used before and see how she reacts. If she doesn’t seem to go back to her normal self within an hour or so, take her to the vet, as not eating can be very dangerous for bunnies.
Unfortunately I find many pet store employees consider the money over the well-being of the pets. They are pretty ignorant about the care of animals (either that or they just don’t care) and will sell products that aren’t ideal for the animal’s health. I would always recommend researching heavily before trying a new product with a bunny.
Try to get her to eat and drink, and keep us updated. Try not to be too worried.

My rabbit was super picky about bedding, he would eat most of it, and kick it around. Then I started using aspen shavings, and hes fine. IT’s pretty cheap too, I get it at walmart and one bag lasts about a week. You could always try that. It’s unscented too, which is nice.

Thanks for the input. I hand feed her not to long ago, she loves herself some clover lol. One more question, do bunnies react to the weather? We’re about to get a really massive storm here and I’m not sure if she’s sensitive to the atmospheric pressures like cows and horses.

I think they do react to some extent to the weather, although probably not drastically.

My Olly acted bad when we were having a storm, I’m in England and its not the sort of storm like you get in America, but he was very quiet and a bit grumpy.
