Hii! I’ve had bun bun for almost 6 months now, and she usually is a bit calmer with things but last night she started to just jump on my bed, which is normal, but while doing that she jumped on my table and then on my chair and then back on my bed. But while this is happening, if she jumps on my bed she scratches and bites me, and when I dump her on the ground she thumps. She isn’t neutered so I’m assuming it’s some behavioural thing but she kept at this from 9 pm til 7 am roughly, while in between I’d be asleep for either 30 mins or less. Please any help, I don’t wanna get rid of her!!

Rabbits are most often active at dusk and dawn, so it is natural for her to be active during that time. What you’re describing does sound hormonal and would decrease if she is spayed, which I highly recommend.

Since this is a natural instinct/drive, it is not something you can ‘teach’ out of her– it’s probably best to keep her in a large pen at night while you sleep. To prevent pen rattling, you can binderclip a bedsheet or something else to the outside to block the visuals of being kept in a pen.

I agree with Wick. This is very likely about some sort of hormonal surge. My rabbit gets these outbursts of energy in early spring, especially when we stay over in our garden shed. The only working solution I’ve been able to come up with is to keep him penned during the night. It usually okay to skip the pen after a few nights. Then it may start over a week or weeks later, so it’s best to try and get a pen that’s easy to set up.
