I have noticed that Cotton, Schroeder and Griffin do not have any care about anyone else’s personal space- they stand on or walk across the dogs and cats.  When the cats yell because they are annoyed the bunnies do not even acknowledge the cats are making any noise.

Griffin sometimes has a bit of stink to him at time- boy bunny smell (he goes in tomorrow for preanesthetic bloodwork and to see if both testicles are descended)- and the more my husband pushed him off his lap- the more Griffin wants to be on his lap.  He is relentless if he thinks you do not want him around- he wants to be on your lap then.

The bunnies are very aware of each other (since nobody is bonded- but all live in the same room)- but they are downright rude and indifferent to the other pets!

Fiver learned a hard lesson about ‘don’t sniff the old cat’s derriere too much’ when she turned around and swatted him on the nose. He fled to the safety of his pen and thumped. I also did some thumping, kitty got a swat and was escorted from the room. But she’s getting territorial because my son has left for college and his room is now off limits to her, so she wants Fiver’s play space…my bed. >.< It's a bit of a struggle at the moment.
Otherwise, I’d think it was the other way around…my bunnies are always reminding me (with a thump, a grunt or a nip) that I should not be invading THEIR personal space. Of course, I’m usually doing housekeeping and they don’t seem to understand that….
*sigh* Us dumb human slaves and our proclivities to keeping other animals around besides bunnies. Taking up all that gorgeous binky room with furniture and dog food bags and sleeping cats the like. What’s the matter with us, huh? ^_^

OMG!!!!!!! I just got into this post while Sophie’s is invading MY space! I get my plantain chips from the kitchen, I sit on the couch and she jumps on the couch DESPERATE to eat them O_O She was driving me nuts! She bites the bag and we start a tugging war LOL she wouldn’t let go! But I won and just gave her a teeny tiny little smallish piece of one of the plantains. And I HAD to stop eating them I just wanted a snack!! lol too funny…
and yeah she never cares who or what is on her way, she just tried to bite Brisa (my dog) cause she was on the way to the plantains bag in my hand. She passes in between the dogs’ legs all the time whn she wants to go through and on me, on my husband..thank God the fish lives in the water O_o

Well, that was Marble on my laptop…talk about invading personal space!

Haha this post made me giggle. Chubs is constantly under foot when he wants something! To the point I could kick him without meaning to, and not just in a straight line. He runs circles around my feet while I’m trying to walk! haha

and…she just took possession of my dogs’ water bowl…Brisa was drinking from it and Sophie went up to her and just stared… O_O so I called Brisa cause I know Sophie’s look, she was about to bite her, and when Brisa left
she started drinking from it! She’s too territorial lately!

Wait a second… you guys still even think of it as your space? Bunner’s made me give up on that a long time ago. I now figure I just pay rent on his apartment, and he lets me sleep here… occasionally.

Lols. Too funny. Velvet’s more of the “space” invader over here. He’s the king and the king can go anywhere!!! He’ll walk all over you and run around your feet while you walk. . . and he’s figured out how to beg. . . he’ll look at me if he’s in his pen with this melty look that says “Aren’t I just adorable?” and then “Don’t you want to let me out to cuddle?” But if you do he’ll just run off and laugh at you for a while. . . silly person, I don’t cuddle unless I want to.

The picture of your bunny at the computer is really cool. I have a hard time eating snacks sometimes because Hunny will come over and beg. She knows to stay out from under the beds where boxes are that she will try to chew on but I trained her of that. She loves to play games and go under the bed for one second and then run out from under the bed really fast and down the hallway. So far, she has not been rude to the cats, yet, that is. She is getting bolder.

I LOVE the pix of your bunny on the computer. I am going to borrow it for Facebook today if that’s OK.

Sammy needs to see me when I go into the bathroom on my “litter pan” EVERY time. She won’t step on the tiled floor though, so just stares, then goes away.

I looked around the other day and I am having more and more Decor de Bunny in my apartment. I think the toilet paper rolls on the dining room floor add a certain je ne sais quoi, don’t you?

This is a fun post to read.

Yes who else why Cotton of course.  HE is the biggest begger.  Goodness sometimes I just have to sit at the table to eat something that isnt’ good for him.   lol

He climbs all over me if I am sitting  if I am walking he is all around my feet as I try not to step on him.

OH and hubby was in the middle of us and Cotton wanted to be by me.  So instead of going across the head part of the couch he ran thru hubby’s chicken.   rofl… was so funny    hubby wasn’t happy he went and washed his food in the sink  I thought that was even funnier.

So I nickname him chicken feet when I am doing his lip cuz I try to keep him from kicking and cutting his lip again  lol

lol this is a funny post! Giuly, Leroy walks across my laptop keyboard like that all the time. He used to try to chew the screen too, so now I have a couple nasty looking scratches from sharp bunny teeth on the plastic surrounding it. He also gets very upset at my phone or pen or the remote when I’m talking, doing homework, or watching tv, respectively. He’ll try to grab it and run away with it, or just chew the heck out of it. I’m missing quite a few buttons off of my remote… grrr. And also has mastered the art of running around my feet, trying to trip me. Silly bunny. But he is a fantastic beggar!

I find they invade the space of the person who wants that least. Like mine tend to bug my sister a bit and she’s not really into bunnies. I’ve had to rescue her quite a bit – hehe.

I hadn’t heard of a bunny doing that yet. It’s true of cats. They used to find my uncle, who wanted to be found as much as a mouse would.

Absolutely true of cats. My family and I aren’t “cat people” though I do like friends cats etc – I know I’ll never have one of my own. It’s the one thing I would say cats & rabbits have in common – though cats sense non cat people much more acutely I think. So basically for my sister, rabbits and cats are in the same bag. Luckily I already had Jersy before she moved in and she was fine about me getting Rumball. She figured 2 would be the same as 1…hehehe!

LMAO! Bunnies really do have no concept of a person’s “bubble”. Calypso and Echo will both walk right on to my face if I’m stupid enough to be lying where they want to go. Plus, I have hardwood floors in my apartment, so it’s not unusual to feel a soft, squishy little bunny body slam into my legs when it’s treat time and the buns run and can’t stop.

And, when I’m eating something on the couch, I’m practically begging Calypso to steal whatever it is. He’s stolen toast, biten off the other end of my poptart and used both paws to upend a bowl of cereal – milk and all – all over himself and me, convinced it was HIS treats that I was eating and not sharing with him. He’s a brazen little thief!

He also used to have a foot fetish before he got fixed. My former roommate was terrorized daily if she forgot to put socks on before leaving the safety of her room. He was positively single-minded in his desire to chew on toes and heels. One up side was the fact that it was a nice exfoliating treatment for the tootsies. lol. I f he encountered a socked foot, he would just dig to demand that the offending garment be removed so that he could nibble on the foot.

Another thing that he always used to do that was highly irritating, but also so cute that I just let him do it, was lie on my chest with his nose smushed up against my nose. I could pull my head away as far as I could, but his fluffy little nose would stay plastered to my face. When he was really in the lovin’ mood, he would lick… inside my nose. lol I know it’s gross, but it was so sweet to have this little tiny bunny stuffed up my nose! lmao I know… my boy’s a bit of a weirdo!

Beka has a funny story about giving an underfoot bunny the boot unintentionally, if I remember correctly. Meadow had gotten in her way while she was walking through the kitchen and when foot met buns she got scooted across the floor and came to a stop with a killer glare. ^_^
My daughter and I still talk about it. We’re trying to think of a way to incorporate a bunch of BB.com bunny stories into a running cartoon strip. I’m thinking this thread alone can be quite the thing for storyboard.

Bunnies think they rule the world so we don’t get to have personal space. Freya loves to jump up on me when I’m reading. She’ll try to chew the edges of the book or push it out of the way so she can get in my face and sniff my nose. I’m always paranoid she might bite my lips if I’ve eaten something sweet. We keep her out of the office now but she used to be obsessed with being on my desk and getting on the keyboard.

I’m wondering if that lack of personal space thing is why we see bunnies all piled up on each other. I think they just are wired to mush, and if it’s us instead of other bunnies, well, whatever.

Lara, your stories cracked me up. Sammy will look at my face closely, but won’t kiss me. However, she will hold her nose close so I can kiss HER.

Oh my goodness… do I ever have storied about my bun meeting my foot! =( It makes me feet like a horrible bunny mom, but really… it’s not my fault when the little bugger comes running AT me! The other day was the worst… I spilled a can of pop all over my coffee table and carpet. I jumped up, of course, to go get paper towels to clean it up. Obviously Leroy, who HAD been chilling in the corner of the room, thought “OOOooo! Treat time!” came running after me. I didn’t see him, and I assumed he was still just sleeping, or supervising my crazy antics… Well no, bun met my ankle and it hurt! i can only imagine how his poor little head felt. He ran and sulked under the dining table. But all was fixed after a carrot. And he seems no worse for the wear.

Also, Leroy follows me into the bathroom too! He doesn’t like the tile flooring much, so he leaps from the carpet to the rug in front of the sink to the rug in front of the tub, makes an attempt at climbing up my leg, and then he’ll either sit there and supervise or leave. It’s hilarious.
