Well, I just put Mufasa and Lily side by side in ajoining xpens ; they seem to like each other so far. It’s only been 5 minutes, but they’re touching noses and maybe grooming noses soon?

I just put them together yesterday, but Mufasa seems to want to be closer to Lily. They have wire between them, I’m nervous about putting them together with the wire gone.

Have you tried putting them together in a neutral space and seeing what happens?

I’ve been alittle scared to, although they’re grooming noses and lying side by side. I don’t know if it’s too soon.

If it was me I’d try it. Are Mufasa and Lily (love the names btw) both fixed? Have you tried letting them out individually, so they can investigate from the outside? If you feel up to it, you could try taking them into a neutral space and just seeing, but you might want to be prepared just in case they get into a tiff. With my first two that are now bonded I left them in cages side by side for a little while and then gradually started letting them both out, under close supervision, and they seemed to hit it off from day one but I decided to keep them seperate for another few days but let them out together and one day she just decided that was it and she was moving in with him and thats where she stayed!

Mufasa can’t be fixed, he’s had a seizure. No one I’ve talked to wants to do it. I don’t want him to die.

He got along great with Spot even though he was intact.

                  He’s very litter box trained.

I’m switching their areas every morning and back every night. On Sunday I’ll try putting them together in the hallway.

Well, their together in the hallway right now. They seem to be kinda ignoring but watching . Mufasa is eating the lettuce from Lily’s litterbox as I write. They sniff and then run away. I’m listening very carefully. So far so good.

Are they grooming eachother yet? I have always thought that that was a good sign but then to move to semi neutral before putting them in someones space.

No, they’re not grooming each other yet. Lily is kinda afraid of Mufasa and runs away from him. I’m waiting for the humping to start. It always does. At least with mine.

Well, I opened the pen and put them both in. They have been in the hallway all afternoon. They’re kinda ignoring each other. lily seems nervous of him, but so far so good.

One other thing. why is it that when you spend all that time cleaning their area Mufasa goes and dumps his clean litterbox. The pen is covered in Carefresh and hay now. Answer me that.lol
